| Just got a RZR XP1K4. What tire pressure I should be running in the woods of WV. The manual says something like 18 psi but that sounds kinda high to me. | |

| 29-9-14 and 29-11-14 bighorn 2.0. When they wear out or when someone wants to buy them I will probably go to 32 inch roctanes. | |

| yea, that and the extra HP until I have bead locks, don't want them slipping on the rim. suspension makes up for a lot of the softer tire ride. | |

| I have been running 9 psi in my 2012 800 RZR with stock Maxxis Tires on all corners. I am convinced I could do better, but I'm still riding and adjusting for the best feel and handling. Then I will get the 27" somethings and it will start all over again...MD | |

| Tire pressure depends on driving style and the trails you run. Faster you go, the higher you need to run. If you ride at a moderate pace and don't beat it through the rough stuff, you can get by with lower psi, maybe around 10-12. If you run real hard, run around 15 in them. What you want in a rock crawling/mud situation is a tire with max contact and floatation, so low psi will make it go like hell. If you run the trails fast and hard, you want enough air in them to take a really hard hit without ever letting the sidewall compress enough to let the sidewall pinch between the rocks and the rim of the wheel. | |

| that's a good point, hump. If I hit 30 mph on a trail I am flying :) How you ride makes all the difference in tire pressure. | |

| Reading Hump's explanation post, it is amazing how brilliant minds think alike, your comment is my exact thoughts. I was asked the other day, how fast my RZR will go, my reply was, I know it will go 35 mph and probably won't ever be able to confirm much faster than that, especially on the trails. That post tells me that the 9psi I run is just about perfect for my style. I sure enjoy the different angles some have on explaining things in these posts. Experience is surely the best teacher...MD | |

| The more I've rode with HotRod, the higher my psi has gotten, and so has spring preload. | |
