| I am changing the front and rear gear oil on my 800 rzr. I was wondering if anyone knows what weight oil to use. I seem to find different answers on a search sight. | |

| No gear oil in front. Should use Polaris demand drive oil, blue bottle. http://www.amazon.com/Polaris-Demand-Drive-Plus-oz/dp/B003AYTF1S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1413069428&sr=8-1&keywords=polaris+demand+drive Should get a half dozen changes out of it.. You have several options for the rear fluids. I don't know what they are, I have always used polaris lubes for the whole drive train. Be careful of striping threads on the drain plugs. | |

| I'm interested in this information also. I just changed the oil in mine Wednesday and used the suggested Rotella T6 and the OEM filter. Checked all fliuds front and rear for water and level and all was good. BUT, I will be wanting to change them in the Spring at the next service point. As I understand the Rear is 75-90 w synthetic gear oil. Thanks again for the informative post...MD | |

| I use rotella and a wix filter, the 570 only uses gear oil in the trans and rear diff front is synthetic atf that's what Hilliard recommends | |

| I forgot to say the Lucas was synthetic oil. I also started using rotella t6 also in motor. So far so good! | |

| I use Polaris fluids for the front diff and transmission. Amsoil 75w90 in rear diff and Amsoil 20w50 in the engine. | |

Well I might as well add doing that to my maint list I am currently doing. Someone told me on the trail last year that he did it before the winter every year to make sure water is not in it so it won't freeze up. I didn't know if that was a good rule of thumb or not. |

I change all my fluid at least every 500 miles or sooner if I have ridden a lot of mud hole trails.

| I got mine changed the other day and the front one looked fine but the rear looked bad and needed to come out. Glad that was caught. I always do my maintenance to check for that kind of stuff |

| I would say whatever you do or use, make sure you use the factory Polaris stuff in that front diff. I don't know the ins and outs of how that limited slip thing works in there, but if it's got a special fluid in it, you better use it. As, for the rest of it, I would say use whatever you want if it's just engine oil or plain gear oil.
You will be very scared when you see how much oil that front end holds. Makes you want to run the right stuff and change it aften. That's what I did on the rzr I had, and I never had any diff problems in the 2500 miles I put on it.
