| Well, as alot of you know I sold my jagged, and planned to be out of the off road scene, but I have a small itch for something else. While I would like to go all out again, this time I am looking for something for 5-6 folks to get us around my neighborhood, and yet be capable of a trail ride once or twice a year to keep in touch with all the great friends I made from the sport. Ranger 900 crew seems like a good possibility, but wondered about the teryx 4 with a bench in the rear, or other. Not wanting anything trail specific like I had, but rather a little utility and sport. Thoughts, or suggestions? Been a while since I was in a ranger and not sure how it would do. Viking ?? | |

| I plan on the T4 for the reliability and the 3 yr free factory warranty. I'm just done with the bushing and balljoint issues with Polaris. | |

| if I was looking for a utility/sport machine, it would be the Trex, I have seen JimBob beat the He!! out of the one he had, I have recommended it to a couple of people at work and they love them.
P.S. Havent seen any issues with the Ranger XP either, just what fits ya

| Ive always done rzrs, but not looking for the all out race machine anymore. Heard the floor boards are a problem with cracking in the teryx 4? | |

| bench seat in the rear of the Teryx 4 could get me the 5th seat for kids around the hood to the pool etc. Trail would always be just me. | |

Don't know that is as much as cracking but more being weak... they had a recall that put a thin piece of sheet metal on the leading edge, there are much better aftermarket protectors out there

| May look at some bench seat options for the rear, and keep them in the running. The fox shocks, though not great out of the box, have to be better than the struts on the Ranger. Not going to do much trails but when I do, I want to save my old Back as much as I can. Thanks for chatting.. Out for tonight. | |

yep, that and inner fender guards... the way I understand it is the problem was where the firewall met the skid... minor issue, but a stick through the leg (or worse) while having fun is preventable.

| I would say get the Kawi mainly because of it's short wheelbase that way you can still spin it around and get with it when you want to. JBS has all the best stuff for those so it's a one stop shop for full skids, floorboard protectors, and roof. | |

| JBS has the floor guards to protect those Teryx machine. I have a Polaris Ranger Crew 900. Love the machine. I too went from RZR's to a Ranger and it was a hard decision. The longer wheelbase is an issue from time to time, but the other gains is great. Still miss the shorter wheel base from time to time though. Would like to have 2 machines, but just cannot justify it right now. | |

| Anyone have a recommendation of where to buy the ranger or the Teryx4? Local here has no crews, and they want MSRP for the terx. I assume I can get a good plow and upper doors if I do the teryx? I do like all the cab systems for the ranger, but I am guessing the teryx will still out run the 900 crew? | |

| Found a decent buy on a left over 900 crew painted version. 13900, and local teryx 4 is 14600 for a 2015, and 15600 for the 2015 LE orange. Looks like about a grand on the t-4s. Want to do doors and a plow. Seems like the ranger has better options but the t-4 would seem to have better suspension for sure if I do get back to trail riding. | |

| I have not ridden a ranger crew but have driven and ridden in teryx and ranger 900. the ranger is faster and higher top end . ride is even on both to me. the ranger is quieter. ranger has an awesome curved glass windshield that should be on every utv. teryx has a better warranty | |

Stick that on the end of your grease gun and it will slide under the tierod end boot and you can blow that boot up with grease til it looks like a marshmellow. It worked great for me on the rzr. I replaced the 1st set at 800 miles. On the second set, I did the grease after every couple rides and that set was still in there and tight when I sold it with 2500 on it. Didn't work on the ball joints though. I guess they were just giving out due to the force of the hit and the size/hardness of the parts.

| thanks Hump, I have heard that on other forums. kinda against my religion to unseal a boot like that but everyone says it works great! superdaves and some others have ball joints with fittings
I don't ride fast and furious like the James gang and others so stuff tends to last longer for me but I am always looking for better replacement stuff!

| Alot of guys swear the grease idea works. I know the super dave bushings are the way to go for sure. So far, the ranger 900 is calling my name. I really like the cab systems. I can open it up in the summer and heat it up enough in the winter the kids can go plow the hood with me. I will keep ya posted. Thanks for all the input as always. | |
