| Just wanted to pass along some info that Jerry at Riders Paradise told me the other night. He said the NS cop stopped and said to warn everyone to stay away from the trestles that they are going to be watching and fining people. He said someone went up there and threw a bunch of the new ties off of the trestle.

| Thanks for the notice. I'm not riding the trestles anyway, but have been known to ride up the hill beside the one though...MD | |

| Thanks for the heads up. I don't ride on the trussles as well, but really like to go up to them & look out over them. Hate to hear of someone ruining our ride area once again. | |

| Thanks Cale. I wonder how in the heck they got out there to dump tires with those things covering the part where we drove across the bridge? Hopefully the railroad will find these guys. |

| I figure they just walked out and just flipped the ties over the edge. Wouldn't take but a couple guys to shove them over. | |

| oh i read it wrong Cale. I was sitting here doing 3 different things as I logged in earlier. I thought it said tires. So someone decided to toss them over the bridge.......I was wondering when someone was going to try that. I know a lot of people like to ride across that bridge and into the tunnel. |

| The owners of wagon wheel resort also warned us not to go over that way. They said they are going to be working on the tracks soon and a lot of workers presence will be around. Even said they had heard bikes could possibly be seized for trespassing. | |

| there will be a lot of activity on tracks soon since they condemned a few tussles and shut down trains. It was eerily quiet with no trains running few weeks ago when we were up. used to setting clock at 11pm and 2 am while sleeping. I think result of heavy snows and rains this year. | |

| Now that you mention the trestles, I did hear several weeks ago the train inspectors along with OSHA or some other important group decided some of the trestles and even some of the mountain tracks are no longer safe to use. Having said that as of the end of October the trains will be stopping. If this is forever or just until the required repairs can be made, I have no idea. There must be something to it for all of this to come up. Happy Trails and ride safe...MD | |
