| Be careful when buying an enclosed trailer. I bought a 7x16 enclosed trailer unseen. The specs said it had 6 ft of clearance. The problem is the ramp door only has 5ft. 6 in of clearance. My rzr has a 3 inch lift with 14 in bighorns. I need a full 6ft. door opening. The only way it will work is to modify the roll cage. I may sell it and try to find a trailer with a higher top and a larger ramp. :

| I'm looking at the same problem , I'm looking to compress the rear suspension so that it will make it in the door . I looked and the frame is directly over the rear suspension ( at a angle to put straps there ) and I hope that will work while I can upgrade trailers . Now it is a completely different angle to back the machine in if you have not tried it ( it corrects most of the problems I have except for the front of my trailer ( give that a try ) ). The way the cage is angled it gets the cage in the door at the lowest point of entry . You can also raise the trailer ( up on blocks ) that will change the angle . Hope this helps . | |

| We had a enclosed trailer before purchasing the Rhino. Our intent was to haul the Rhino on an open trailer but it would be nice if it would fit in the enclosed trailer. It was close to fitting when it was stock. I had looked at cutting the cage. It now has a 2" lift and taller tires so it is not even close to fitting. | |

| I have ran into this problem with my Ranger... My RZR fits fine but my Ranger, I have to deflate the tires almost completly and lower the shocks to the lowest setting and still add weight to the rear!! PAIN IN THE ASS!! Needless to say I am selling my inclosed trailer. I'm just going to haul on a 6X10 or a 7 x 20 open trailer. | |

| This is the exact same problem I had with my toyhauler. I looked forever to find one that would fit the Rhino cage. many have 70" but I wanted 74" minimum at door opening. The height of the roof is rarely the issue -- the door is always the problem.
If buying an enclosed just pay extra for a 7 ft roof with 6 1/2 ft door height. It's worth it. Then again if an open trailer works then you save alot of time and get better mpg when towing.

| I had mine built with an extra 6" at the door to accomodate the Rhino. I have not used it alot, but it works good so far. I just wish I would have gotten the insulation put in from the factory. | |

| So what size enclosed trailer (height) would one need for a 09 Ranger with stock tires and a top on it? I am sure I would upgrade the tires someday but probably not the rims. I dont have a Ranger yet but trying to gather this info so I know what to look for.
Maybe do the Monster Truck deal, were they put those small tires on the trucks so they fit on the trailer. Although this could be a PITA also!!!

| Steve I will measure the door on my trailer and tell you what it is. I can put my Rhino in with no problem and I had Drew's Ranger in there with it and he has 26" Bighorns, didn't need to let air out of the tires or anything. | |

| steve, when looking for a trailer i decided on a shadowmaster race trailer (trt trailer sales lincolnton nc) with the extra clearance. My inside ceiling height is 83". Also found a trailer with a dovetail in the back, which puts my door opening at 81 3/4 ". Lets me have plenty of room for the Rhino with 26" bighorns. I am pretty sure my neighbor's ranger with a full cab would fit in there. Although I haven't tried it yet. It looks like it would have plenty of clearance for that. By the way my trailer weighs 6000lbs empty. It is 28' with cabeints in the front (which I wished it didn't have). I can put the RZR, the Rhino and a Grizzly 700 end to end, probably another 4wheeler beside the grizzly. I love it but it is heavy. | |

| Simoniz, did you sell your enclosed trailer? If not, would a stock Ranger fit in it okay? Tell me more about it if you still have it. | |

| No, I beleive I will keep my trailer. I have 26" bighorns and the shocks on the highest setting right now minus my extended cage. Minus the cage it will drive right in. It will rub just barly against my fluresent light. I was just not willing to take a beating on selling my paid for enclosed trailer... | |

| I think all us SXS owners have had the same problem . I sold my 12x6 enclosed motorcycle trailer to my friend for $200.00 less than what I had in it ($4500.00) only because it was 1yr old. I then custom ordered a 16x7x7 1/2 hieght . It cost an extra $600.00 , but I now have a 7ft opening through the barn doors in the back. It looks pretty big going down the road , but it works excellent for my Teryx. Now all I have to do is check out all those trailer threads to fix-up the interior for my little girl & I to camp in down at our ATV club . | |

| AGREE --- WHEN I GOT MY TRAILER (8 1/2 X 24), I HAD TO GET THE EXTRA HIGHT BECAUSE OF THE ROLL CAGE. | |

| For anyone thinking of buying new (or used ) , I highly recomend LEONARD Trailer in North Jackson , Ohio . I purchased 2 cargo trailers ( second for the rollcage issue ) off them and they are very thorough with the trailer inspection and the TOW vehicle that will be pulling it . Although , I did have to be very descriptive of the rear entree hieght . Not the inside ceiling hieght . He finally understood when I mentioned the extra foot was needed between the upper door (VALANCE) and the floor entree at the doors. Especially because you are custom ordering , it would be hard NOT to pay on delivery . | |

| When I ordered mine, I took the height of the Rhino roll cage specs, added 6", then told the trailer builder to make it that tall at the door. I have had no issues with my Rhino, and it has a J-Strong top and a lift. However, if I do go up in there far enough the top will make slight contact with the A/C unit. | |
