| Thanks guy's. Jeff M, It wasn't all that bad to do. Took a little longer than I thought to get it all lined back up to weld. Really helped having a friend with a machine shop to make the sleeve's. The inside diameter of the cage is 1.62". I was having a hard time finding pipe that size. | |

| Nice looking ride. Did you have to make any other adjustments to get it to line up, as far as the angle goes? :kick ass: | |

| The hardest part was spreading the bars. I didn't have a porta power so I tacked the sleeve's to the lower part of the cage. And loosen all 8 bolts. Then had to used a couple big ratchet straps to pull the upper cage apart. That allowed for it to line up to get a tack. Then removed the rear section to finish the welds. | |

They look much much better with the cage chopped but some one made a good point that they may be made like they are for a safety reason being if you rolled over a hill etc that it would not keep rolling as easy the way the factory has it.With it chopped it would roll much more especially in a slow speed roll it may not even roll but go over on it's side and stop if that makes sense.

That is a good point Bobby. I never thought of that, and it does make alot of sense. It looks cool as hell, but now that I have a RZR, I know I won't be doing the chop. At 6'1", there may be room to chop it, but strap on a helmet and the idea is history. That sucks because it does look freakin awsome!

| Most of the guys who are chopping these cages are supporting them better than they where before. | |
