| Just wondering how many folks were heading to Pickens on May 22 for the big (HUGE) poker run? Depending on weather, the wife and I might take the RV and camp Saturday night and it would be nice to meet some of "ya'll" and knock back a couple cold ones. | |

| Ahhh....Pickens. Go 15 miles past BFE then turn left! It's in Randolph Co., WV, right where the mountains start getting bigger. Let me put it this way, it is so remote that when Randolph Co. schools consolidated, they couldn't consolidate Pickens' school because they are so far back in the sticks. The graduating class is usually around half a dozen kids, no joke. All grades are in one school. That being said, greatest people you ever want to meet! It's all outlaw trails, just good old fashioned backcountry riding. I only go riding there with other people because it is easy to get "woods confused" there. (I refuse to use the word lost! LOL) The town is extremely off-road friendly. There is a large field "downtown" where alot of people camp for the poker run. Last year they said it was over 200 quads/UTVs in the ride. | |

| Map Quest shows it's a 4 hour drive for me so that's doable for a 2 or 3 day ride. If we get enough riders from that area I will make a section for just that area so spread the word Unless that's so far back in the sticks they don't have internet I see it's near that big National Forest. My youngest son went camping there last summer with a friend and his family. | |

| Well, I've never rode at Pickens. I've been through some of the old county dirt roads, but I don't know anything about any good trails. This is close to Bergoo, about 30min drive. So, if we had someone to show us around at Pickens, we could pull off a ride there and a Bergoo on the same weekend. If that happened, it would be worth the drive for the members from out of state. How does the riding at Pickens compare to Bergoo? | |

| Sounds like fun. Do they have maps or can I just join your group? Been there twice for a romantic weekend in Helvetia. Is a wife thing or a "rough 'n ready? | |

| Well, the wife and I are definitely making a weekend of it in Pickens! Heading there Friday evening, doing the poker run Saturday, camping again Saturday night. Anyone that's going, make sure you stop by and say "hey!" We'll be in a big RV w/ a 12' black box trailer behind it w/ an LTR 450 and pink RZR sitting there. | |

| Not sure yet. I am putting on a ride the next weekend from Selbyville. I am still finalizing the plans/route. Pickens ride is supposed to be about 40 miles long I think. Weather isn't looking too good right now though. Memorial day weekend from Upshur Co 4H camp. Should be about 30 miles. 19 miles so far and only 2 miles of it are dirt county roads. Mostly unimproved roads and trails. There might be 5-6 miles out of 30 that are dirt road for our ride. It is not a poker run, just a fun run free will offering for our Relay for Life team. Door prizes and 50/50. Lunch and reg. at 11:00. We will leave at 12:30. Sponsored by Jerusalem cruisers Relay for Life team and Dirty Christians off-road ministries. Visit www.dirtychristians.net for more info. | |

| Been to Helvetia and Pickens many times but do not know what BFE is. Used to live in Mill Creek. Would love to ride that area some time. Live in Moundsville now. | |
