| I am bringing my son down to ride in a rzr on H/M about june 13th or so.
What do you recommend for good trails to take him on? We are looking for fun riding, no serious deep mud, but want to have fun. Any other rides scheduled then?
Is there a specific trail system?
Was thinking of buffalo mtn, but would love some feedback on what you would recommend. I am open to your suggestions
Please help | |

| I can't tell you many details about the different HM trails as I mostly ride the outlaw trails. What I can tell you is that SXS's are allowed on all green and blue trails on all the systems and are great to take a kid on. Nothing to technical and not much mud. | |

| If you don't want to get into anything really technical you should ride the little coal river system , all the trails are sxs friendly so it will be a good ride for your son. | |

| I have only rode Rockhouse,Pinnacle Creek & Indian Ridge and will be riding Little Coal River this Saturday but I would look at which one was a closer drive if it was me.It's hard to beat the Campground at the Indian Ridge trails in Ashland www.atvresort.com and from there like I always say you can ride the Pineville & Ashland trails and more outlaw trails than you could ever ride. When it gets closer if there is a WV SXS RIDER member there when you are I'm sure they will be glad to show you around and how to get to the Pineville trails too or there is always lot's of friendly riders there that will help you out. | |

Just get a cabin at the Ashland Resort but don't wait long as they stay booked.I'm sure out of this many members someone can show you around and wvprowlerrider lives in that area there so he is usually available.

Please help 1. Lil coal 2. Pinnacle creek 3. Indian ridge Lil coal is a good place to take kids. It's not the big hill climbs and black trails of other systems, but its a blast in its own way. You can ride faster if you wish, just be careful of what is coming at you around the corner. You can rent cabins there at Kathry's Kabins. There is a mobile home there that can be rented, and there are 1-2 campgrounds very close by.The HFM welcome center is there for buying a pass and souveniers if you like. Trail 18 I recommend because it is a long trail that loops back. Pinnacle creek is also a good place to take kids. there is a variety of trails there although several may be closed temporarily including recently the Mullens connector. There are also a few trails there that are like wide gravel roads which can be very dusty at times. The scenery around trail 23 is awesome. We have stayed several times at RCH lodging. Indian Ridge is a little tougher and offers a good variety ofall types of trails, including some difficult trails and some serious mud in spots. We usually stay at Ashland resort, although there are several other places close by also. Lil coal may be your shortest commute from MI. and is a good first choice if you want some smotther trails. All three trails systems are fun IMO. Sorry so long winded.... I hope this helps.

| Hey, I will be staying at ashland resort the 18th thru 20th. If you stay the 18th, we'll try and ride together. I have never been there so I'll be learning the area. | |
