| I have read a lot of posts about how people have there shocks setup, so I am looking to setup my shocks. I have jacked the ass end up by adjusting the big nut on the shock now I am looking to adjust the preload and dampening I beleive. So how do I get a softer ride for trail riding it just seems a little stiff at stock. | |

| you already adjusted the preload with the big nuts on top of the shocks. what your looking for is the compresion adjustment. its the flat head screw on the top of the shock on the res.turn counter clockwise will soften it up. clockwise will stiffen it up. i htink on those shocks there is only 5 clicks of adjustment. i have the service manual saved on my computer it would show you where all the adjustments are and which direction to go. if i can figure out how to put it on here i'll send it. bare with me i'm computer stupid. and if you want to sell your piggy back let me know there better than the junk i have on... | |

| ya i just threw that out there. : : i'm going to go aftermarket. did my the info help? i can't get the pdf file for the service manual on to this thread yet. but i'll work at it. ive set up alot of suspensions so if i missed something just ask. best thing to due is take notes for settings drive it record results then when you find the sweet spot you know where it is set for what condition. | |
