| Just wanted to give everyone a heads-up about running XTR Mudlites on a UTV . Last weekend I got an unfixable leak in one of my tires . Seems the extra weight of a UTV running 13 psi can cause extra flex around the large V-treads to cause the cords to break inside the carcuss . The gentleman at ITP was very understanding and leads me to believe they may replace the tire . I sen t these photos e-mail to show the p roblem . He also told me they may issue a notice to UTV owners to run 18 psi to reduce the extra flex . I'll let you know how it goes.

| The cords showing are green because of the Slime that I used to prevent normal flats . [img]h ttp://i68.servimg.com/u/f68/14/78/94/72/xtr_ti12.jpg[/img] | |

| Until last weekend I would have agreed wholeheartedly with you . I loved my XTR's until this happened . Mine are 26x11x12 rears . Maybe it's the flex of the 12's that caused the problem ? Or , as the ITP rep said , sometimes you just get a bad one off the line . I still need to check my other rear tire to see if it's good or not . That will tell me if it's a blem or as the rep said , I may need to start running 18 psi to keep the flex down . The tire psi says 7 . I'll wait to here back from them , but Pit Bull Rockers are going to be my next choice if I have to go that route . | |

| I wouldn't run 18 in them. You will lose alot of ride, and some traction. I think you just got a bad tire. If you hit stuff fast and hard when you ride, then you might run a little more air. I run 13 in the 26 Mudlite XLs on the rhino with no problems yet. | |

| I think it's just a bad tire also , but 13 psi is what I was running also . I agree with you on the ride quality running 18 psi , but if that's ITPs recomendation I'll go with it for safeties sake . I'll be taking my other tire to be checked tomorrow . Hopefully it will be fine . | |

If the max pressure on that tire says 7lbs...then it is not a UTV rated tire

If the max pressure on that tire says 7lbs...then it is not a UTV rated tire Hmmmm....... good piont Bubba . I just checked again , it says ( Max. Load 480 Lbs. at 7 psi ) Under that it says ( MAXIMUM OPERATING PRESSURE ) . I'll have to mention that to the rep when he gets back to me .

| I finally recieved my replacement XTR's from ITP . I guess the reason it took over a month is , I had to wait on a NEW RUN of XTR's off the manufacturing line ? When I inspected the new tires , sure enough they NOW read MAX Pressure ( 18 psi ) . I'll be taking them on a poker run tomorrow and I want to see how rough they ride with that much pressure . | |
