| That little feller was about to loose the battle of crossing the river. It was hanging on to momma's back I guess because I could see two heads and then just one. Then I see this liitle guy going downstream. As I got closer it started swimming toward me. I actually put the paddle out to keep it from getting in the kayak. It climbed on and I thought it was going to end up asleep, we difted for 7-8 minutes. Then my wife used her kayak to push me toward the shore. I raised the paddle up about 3' to the top edge of the bank and it climbed off. I thought it was a river otter but I am a flatlander. It has been so long since I have been that close to a beaver I am not sure what one looks like anymore!!!!!! | |
