| Been a quiet member for a week or two now. Really have enjoyed reading all the posts. I am about to be a SXS owner and operator on occasion. Sorry my heart is with dirt bikes but I have a wife and twin girls that would like to go along when I go ride so as soon as I get back from Afghanistan I am purchasing a 2011 Polaris Razor 4 seater with powersteering. They look like a blast and can hold the whole little family. I have been looking for sites just like this to see what people think of different rides, where they ride (I will be in KY/TN when I get back). Originally I was trying to find some info on the Hatfield McCoy trails, mostly rules on SXS's and I unfortunately found a very important piece of info. Some may think I am crazy but it seems perfectly safe to me: like I said I have twins girls, which will be toddlers when I get back. They will be big enough to where a DOT helmet and I plan to put carseats in the razor. Obviously I wont be racing down the trail, jumping or doing crazy stuff like that but it seems like it will be safe for nice relaxing family rides through the hills and what not, but the rule is that passengers have to reach the floor with their feet and the grab bars with their hands. So I will have to ride other places. Anyways finally got around to telling a little about where I am with the SXS movement. Comments are welcome. | |

| Thanks everyone for your support. It sucks here but I have been quite happy reading all the forum posts and learning a few things about SXS's. I will have to research some other trails in WV. It is a long drive from Ft. Campbell but I really wanted to check out some great trails in that area once in a while. I have a good friend that rides quads and we were going to make a big trip to HM. I know I will be able to find some good info on this forum. I haven't read much in the trails section yet. | |

| Thanks for your service. Enjoy your new ride when you get back. Try the wagon wheel area because it has a variety of different trails, some are easy and some are more challenging and some are.... oh-$hit!! | |

| I have been doing some research from this forum on the Wagon Wheel trails. I will definately be heading out that way to try them out. Thanks for everyones support. It is definately not fun here. There are a lot of Gators, Rangers, and Mules here so I guess I see SxS's all the time. This crappy country would make an amazing SXS park in the spring and fall if only their weren't a bunch of people out here tryinig to kill us. I will have to try to get a picture of a really sweet lifted gator that has been painted blue and has a custom bed. You all will be quite jealous I believe but nothing you can't build at home with a few cans of spray paint, some motorcyle chain, some scrap metal and a worn out gator. The solid suspension is top notch. | |
