| Went to the Czar(not Cruz) Dice Run last weekend. They had a course with various terrain. On the fast trails these shocks worked great w/ jounce and rebound set on 1/3 from dead soft. I'm used to nailing the brakes when I see a wash-out or low spot. Don't have to now. Absolutely zero bottoming out. It seemed to me that handling, overall and at speed, was much improved. On the rocky stuff, however, rebound was too harsh(due in large part because my springs are so stiff - 250#). I've reset rebound at 1/6 from full stiff and we'll see how things turn out. WV HRR is buying 225# rears for someone's(ermullis?) install. I may end up doing the same.
From what I've read, stock is 100#F/170#R and preloaded to 220# all around at the min. setting. My fronts are 125#. | |

| For those interested in this application I have an update.
I determined that a major reason for the harsh rebound I experienced was too much pre-load due to my springs being too long and too stiff. So, I removed a half coil to reduce pre-load and set jounce/rebound to one turn from dead soft.
Rode East Lynn yesterday with Brian and Logan Waller. Wow. What a difference. Still not perfect in deep cuts but what a blast on the fast stuff. | |
