| yeah they pulled a new tranny off the assm. line and put it in mine. All new tranny for me. The dealer saved me as the new shaft was going to be another 2 weeks longer to get. Working good so far 300 miles on it. Why do you ask? | |

| finally got parts in yesterday he got 2 new covers. both covers bushing holes have play in them he called factory about it should know something today. that is whats wrong with the 10 models. bushing comes out and screws it all up inside. mine started in reverse backing up it would make noises and lock up. they put new belt on and it didn't lock up anymore. started coming part way out of low gear on flat ground moving slow. made noise like when you try to put it in gear with rzr moving. it torn up gears, bearings, bushings and main shaft. parts were on back order till 27 of aug. warehouse was out. i called everywhere in nc,tn,va. ky. no parts anywhere i guess they didn't get them in when they said sense i didn't get them till yesterday. getting tired of riding the 4 wheeler don't ride and drive like rzr. they put 09 parts back in them. i think spicer still makes their gears and stuff. |

Why do you ask? I was just asking. Seems as so many people are having the tranny problem on the 2010's. Here are some quotes I have found on the net: 2010 Transmission Failure From what I have been reading, they all have broke right after you have been in L, and AWD. I imagine it is a hit and miss problem, but from what the dealer told me was that i had some C clips laying in the bottom of my trans and the shaft had come apart, tearing and gouging everything up. My main issue is this. I am still riding on the stock belt, I don't feel as though I was doing anything out of the capabilities of the machine, and if so I would think the belt would break before the trans literally falls apart. Polaris has recognized SOME issue with this because they have already gone as far as discontinuing the old 2010 trans parts and creating new ones, however they haven't given me the explanation as to why, and why they won't cover it in regards to that. All I have received was, "you are out of warranty". I get that part however I still feel this to be Polaris responsibility. Polaris changed the shaft, intermediate the one the driven clutch is on. Changed on 2010 models easier to get out of park, easier shifting. They changed about 8-9 parts on that shaft. We pulled the motor combo and pulled the trans apart and you will see that the low gear is bending the snap ring that holds it on the shaft. The washer behind the snap ring will be bent concaved should be flat. Get it to a Polaris dealer will fix it and buy a extended warranty. If you use low alot you can install the parts from a 2009 model, they are more robust. I have all but one of the parts out of the 2009 model instock polaris is shipping the last part today. They have been on back order. And I just checked and most of them are still on back order. The fix was supposed to be made on units made after 5/17/10. The part number for the fix is 3235271 Kit-Transmission $449.00 plus 8 hours of labor. | |

| simoniz it screwed up when we went to brimestone when you followed me out there. it started when jerry went up that ditch on trail 5 and i turned around at the top. i don't see how it run for 2 days and nights with out locking up according to how it looked on the inside. i think i have 1197 miles on it. polaris is over nighting another new cover today. he told them to make sure bushing hole was right on this one. |

| Good info guys. I'll check my born on date, and if it's an early 2010, I'll plan on doing the upgrade at the 1st sign of problems. It would be nice if there is a recall on this. | |

| Mason from what I have read on other sites they go out after being in low and AWD. Was that your case? If so, then for us with early born date we have no option but to use AWD in high gear. That will suck in steep terrain. | |
