| Since the weather has turned cold my front truck tires starting leaking air I have aired them back up a few times but it seemed they were leaking faster to the point It takes to long to pump them up with the 125psi electric pump I keep for around the house use.Well they got so low now I can't even drive the truck to have them checked so I got out the jack and had to remove both front tire in this cold weather and will be taking them to get them checked out Anyone else having any trouble with loosing air with the colder temps | |

| Sounds to me like your running cheap air...come off the hip and buy some good quality air just kidding!! If the tires are in good shape you shouldn't loose air...check for small nails or valve stem leaks. | |

The man can't drive his truck and you are making jokes! Some people have to get up in the morning and actually get dressed and have to get in their trucks and drive to work!! I'm just sayin!!!! Sounds to me like you are loosing air around the wheel! We notice that alot more often in the winter where I work. I don't know why but we have to break down alot of truck tires in the winter, clean the rim around the bead, lube bead, and air back up!

| Sounds like you may have a nail or two in it. Also a valve stem could be leaking. The cold weather may be coincidental Bobby.
Good Luck with it and let us know what it is! |

| Bubba...I don't think we will make the Newyears ride...I think we are going to try and go somewhere in mid to late January. We are thinking about Callalantee or Carolina Adventure World for just a day ride. | |

| You've probably figured out your problem by now. But, if you're going to the tire shop and can't find a leak let them break the tires down, buff the bead seats, remount(with a bead lube) and put in new stems. Alloy wheels, if you have them, leak down through the seasons. | |

| I dropped the tires off and they were to busy to look at them today so I should know something in the morning. The tires do have a little dry rot but I hope all they need is broken down and reseated. | |

| The low pressure sensors in my truck come on the first cold snap every fall. Sometimes they come on when it gets single digits, but once I get the truck rolling an build a little heat the sensor goes off. What kind of tires are they? My wifes Goodyear Triple Treads are about shot at 35,000 miles, not real impressed. couple flats from nails, dry rot and wear. Also rides like a wooden wheel. | |

| I use to have tire problems till i stepped up and bought real tires. Michelin's LT, M&S, zero issues any more. They hold 35 lbs of air, hot or cold, i never have to mess with them. |

| Tires are ridiculous anymore. RZR tires are bad enough but truck tires will break the bank. | |

| Glad all is good Bobby. I'm having tire troubles myself. I got ran out of the road and hit a huge hole in a ditch, I swear I think all 4 tires were off the ground. Ever since then I've had a little vibration in my Tacoma. I thought it was my worn out tires, because everything else checked out OK. So, I get new tires and I have one with a lot of weight on it, and it feels like it's egg shaped. I've had them balanced twice, and it's still there. I think I have a bent wheel, though I can't tell by looking at it/measuring it. I ordered a used wheel off ebay for it, so I guess I'll try that. Old tires were BFG all terrains, the new ones are Mastercraft AT2. They are made by Cooper, and go really good in snow. But, I hope it's not a bad tire after buying another wheel. At this point I have BFG money in a set of cheap tires. | |

At this point I have BFG money in a set of cheap tires. A good way to check for bent wheel is to watch it on the balance machine. If wobble is visible, it could be bent. High side-wall tires may need to be broken down and reseated to correct out-of-round. Or, as in some off-spec tires, they are made that way. Have the tire tech break the tire back down and rotate it 90 degrees. If when balanced the weights follow the rotation, the tire was made out-of-round and should be replaced by the seller. I can't live with a thumping tire. Especially after paying good $$ for it.
