| For the money the Teryx is unlimited in what kind of mods you can do, for the engine or suspension. Kawasaki also has some of the best end of the year deals too. I am biased though, but I also needed something with a bed when I got mine 2 years ago. | |

| I have always had great luck selling some of my old atvs & the Ranger I had on e bay and you can list your item FREE if you list it as a classified ad which works for a 200 mile radius but if you want the ad to go world wide the you will pay but just the Free classified ad will give you alot more potential buyers

| Ben, I'm about 20 miles from there but I'm immobile right now with a ruptured achilles. Honestly I think for trail riding, any of the big 4 or 5 will get you where you want to go. I know the V-twins in the teryx are toned down but can be modified to almost no limits. The razors are fast and smooth but I think a lot of people are getting the S because of it's wider, more stable stance. If you put the same money into my machine it could be pretty awesome.

| well, ill throw in my .02 cents here, as said above it all depends on who you talk to and what they ride but, I have a 08 teryx and my buddy has a 08 rzr honestly they are both great machines. We both ride HARD and put them to there limits nearly on a weekly basis. He has had some issues with the rzr, broken axle and had to rebuilt the top end due to sucking mud in the air filter. So far I have been lucky and not had to replace anything, I did hydrolock my motor last trip to wv though so im sure motor work is in my future lol. The main difference i will say though is we both have noticed the teryx has more clearance and probably if for no other reason than that it tends to do better in the mud than the rzr. as far as power goes if you do very minor mods to the teryx it will be right with the rzr. and as mentioned above there is virtually no limit to the amount of power that can be made out of the v twin. | |

| like i said i appreciate your guys input, you have more experience than i do. i see that people are making mods to teryx to make em perfom better. after the purchase of the sxs what kind of money are we looking at to mod the teryx? what is the esential mods? which give you the biggest bang for the bucks? kinda leaning toward the ranger or teryx just for the purpose of the bed. (75 acre farm) clutch kits and exhaust and efi controllers it is a little overwhelming. race bikes we put a pipe jet it and good airfilter and get after it! thanks | |

| I hear that if you put a dynatek cdi and an aftermarket exhaust like Muzzys then you can boost both hole shot and top end a bit. I don't know many trails where you can run more than 50 mph anyway..heheh | |

| not sure how much the cdi for the new FI model is..around 200 i think, full exhaust is 650 to 750 ish dependin on where you get it. clutch is 400 from Vforce john, ( he is supposed to be the man on v twin stuff) Beyond that if you wanna make the kawi run like your quad there are big bore kits, stroker kits, bigger throttle bodies, its truly unlimited what you can do...check out teryxforums.net | |

| honestly for what i have seen you can buy a teryx and do a good bit of work to it and still be in it for less than a stock rzr | |

| I have a 08 Teryx, I put a Dynatek CDI (plug & play), Dalton clutch kit, home made lift kit and 27" BigHorns (before they were popular, LOL) I drive it like I stole it and LOVE it, I did try some race seats and they are better than the stock but a little too narrow for my fat azz. I don't have a dump bed, don't need it, A jeep bikini top fit's it pretty good too. I have about 200 hrs on it with no major issues. Buy whatever you can afford and suits your style of riding. For the money, the Teryx is a bargain. | |
