| Hey, if anyone needs any parts/accessories or even a new RZR or Ranger delivered to them on this ride, let me know (at a discounted price of course!). Go to www.ncpowersports.com or www.performanceeast.com and you can check out all that we have along with our new redesigned website making the customer experience better! (ok, that was a plug). Anyway, me, Travis and several others from the dealerships will be up for the ride and we'd be happy to bring along anything that people want to save on some shipping costs. All you would need to do is pay for the part in advance, we'll order it and bring it with us. We also have lots of 2010 Polaris RZR's and Rangers in as well as ATV's and Can-Am ATV's. Happy to deliver one of those too! Chappy | |

| Ride Times:
Fri -10:00am
Sat -9:00am
Sun -9:00am
The plan is to be back at camp between 5:00 & 6:00pm to clean up and eat and enjoy the fire and to socialize.I'm sure some will want to go on a night ride on their own so everyone of course can do what they want.I will be sitting by the Fire so no night riding for me.
Everyone be ready to ride at the time the rides are to begin each day as we are going to have a large group and you do not want to be the one to hold up 50 other people that are ready and some have driven a long way and don't won't to spend their riding time waiting on someone that is not ready to ride when it's time to ride.We will line up behind my RZR down in front of the campground office to begin the rides so be on time and don't make us come looking for you...lol so be considerate of others and be on time.I would suggest filling up your machine checking your oil etc the day before each ride so you won't be rushed each morning that seems to work best.If you ride Friday and are going to ride Saturday it's just easier to top off your tank as soon as we get back to camp and have it ready for the next morning while you are still dirty...lol
It's real important that with this big a group that each person be responsible for the person behind you and do not leave them at a fork or intersection. To keep everyone together and to keep the ride rolling smoothly we need every driver to stop at every turn and make sure the person behind you sees where you turn if everyone will do this we will not have any problems and not have to waste time going back to look for people because they did not know which way to go.If you don't have a rear view mirror I would suggest you get one before this ride as it is much easier than turning your head all day looking back at each turn.If the person behind you has to stop for any reason then you stop also and if everyone will do this it will become a chain reaction and no one will be left behind. So again you are responsible for the person directly behind you that they know where to turn at all times and are not left behind.I would also suggest that each driver keep up with the person in front of them and in view of them at all times this will make it much easier too.On some trails there are many many forks so don't assume the person behind you knows where to go because they have no clue just like you don't most of the time.I would say our average speed will be 10 to 15 mph with this size group so I think that will be slow enough that everyone can keep up and not feel rushed and can enjoy some scenery. When we stop for a break and if you feel we are running to fast or to slow speak up and we can discuss it as a group and make changes but keep in mind with this many riders it's hard to please everyone all the time...lol Also most of the trails we are riding are easy gas line trails with very few difficult spots IMO but if we come to a spot you are not comfortable with then stop and ask for help and maybe even we can find you an alternate route as we are not out to put anyone in danger or tear up their machine.

| Bobby, change my status to maybe. My son and daughter -in-law are expecting their first baby, and Crystal and I first grandchild. She isn't supposed to be due undr's til 10/16, but she has been having contractions for the last week and the Drs have had to give her meds to stop the contractions. So she may go early during the ride. I have a cabin reserved, if I don't make it does anyone want it? | |

| I can answer for him :) Bring whatever you think you'll want to eat for lunch if you are in the middle of nowhere and you are really hungry If we get somewhere where they serve food, or anything that closely resembles it, you will have the choice of eating whichever you choose. | |

Why do we need that for this ride? The Welch Police said it's the Law if you ride on the roads in West Va but I have not heard of any enforcement of it but better to be safe than sorry

| Last month when we went to Welch, we passed a cop a he didnt turn around. Not all of us had the orange triangle. I think they only mess with you when there is a big group of sxs, like the 50 plus we gonna have!!! That's gonna be a long train! But I would spend the 10 bucks and not worry about it. | |

| I was Aux. PD here for 5 yrs., the only rules I konw of for atvs on atv friendly highways are to follow all traffic laws set forth for motor vehicles. Motor vehicle law says that vehicles with a top speed of 25 MPH or less require an orange triangle. '91-11-4. Slow Moving Vehicles.
4.1. W. Va. Code '17C-6 requires all farm machinery, except when guarded by flagman or flashers, designed to operate at twenty-five (25) m.p.h. or less, traveling on a public highway, during day or night, to display a triangular slow moving emblem on the rear of the vehicle.
4.2. The purpose of this legislation is to create a unique identification emblem to be installed as a safety feature on slow moving vehicles when operated or traveling (transported) on public highways amidst motor vehicles designed for high speed. The short form of designation of such vehicle shall be SMV.
4.3. The Commissioner, as authorized by the provisions of this act, adopts the SMV emblem as described in the American Society of Agriculture Engineers S276.2 as the official slow moving vehicle emblem of West Virginia.
4.4. The standards and specifications for design and position of mounting the SMV emblem and requirements for certification of conformance as adopted by the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles in conjunction with the American Society of Agricultural Engineers Standard S276.2 are as outlined in the following sections:
4.5. Specifications and Standards.
4.5.a. The SMV emblem shall consist of a fluorescent yellow-orange triangle with a dark red reflective border. The yellow-orange fluorescent triangle is for daylight identification. The reflective border defines the shape of the flourescent color in daylight and becomes a hollow red triangle in the path of motor vehicle headlights at night. The emblem shall meet the following specifications:
4.5.b. Size. The dimensions shall be shown in Figure 1. (See Figure 1 Identification Emblem.)
4.5.c. Visibility. The SMV emblem shall be entirely visible in daylight and at night from all distances between six hundred (600) feet and one hundred (100) feet from the rear when directly in front of lawful upper beam of headlights. The operator and/or owner of a slow-moving vehicle shall exercise due care in the maintenance and cleaning of the emblem to assure it being plainly visible.
4.5.d. Color and reflectivity
4.5.d.1. The spectrophotometric color values of the yellow-orange fluorescent material shall have a dominant wave length of 590 - 610 millimicrons and a purity of ninety-eight percent (98%) before test. After durability test, the dominant wave length of the fluorescent material shall not change more than ten percent (10%).
4.5.d.2. The reflective material shall have minimum intensity values at each of the angles listed per Table 1. After durability test, the minimum reflective intensity values for the reflective material shall not change more than twenty percent (20%) from the values specified in Table 1.
Take that Welch PD.....lol I know my bike will do at least 30.....lol.....and maybe 60!!! §17F-1-1. Acts prohibited by operator; penalties for violations. (a) No all-terrain vehicle may be operated in this state: (1) On any interstate highway except by public safety personnel responding to emergencies; (2) On any road or highway with a center line or more than two lanes except for the purpose of crossing the road, street or highway, if: (A) The crossing is made at an angle of approximately ninety degrees to the direction of the highwayand at a place where no obstruction prevents a quick and safe crossing; (B) The vehicle is brought to a complete stop before crossing the shoulder or main traveled way of the highway; (C) The operator yields his or her right-of-way to all oncoming traffic that constitutes an immediate potential hazard; and (D) Both the headlight and taillight are illuminated when the crossing is made if the vehicle is so equipped; (3) With more than one passenger unless more passengers are allowed under manufacturers' recommendations; (4) With a passenger under the age of eighteen, unless the operator has at a minimum a level two intermediate driver's license or its equivalent or is eighteen years of age or older; (5) Unless riders under the age of eighteen are wearing size appropriate protective helmets that meet the current performance specifications established by the American national standards institute standard, z 90.1, the United States department of transportation federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 218 or Snell safety standards for protective headgear for vehicle users; (6) Anytime from sunset to sunrise without an illuminated headlight or lights and taillights; (7) Without a manufacturer-installed or equivalent spark arrester and a manufacturer-installed or equivalent muffler in proper working order and properly connected to the vehicle's exhaust system; or (8) Unless operating in compliance with the provisions of section two of this article. (b) An all-terrain vehicle may, for the sole purpose of getting from one trail, field or area of operation to another, be operated upon the shoulder of any road, street or highway referred to in subdivision (2), subsection (a) of this section, other than an interstate highway, for a distance not to exceed ten miles, if: (1) The vehicle is operated at speeds of twenty-five miles per hour or less; and
(2) The vehicle is operated at any time from sunset to sunrise, the all-terrain vehicle must be equipped with headlights and taillights which must be illuminated. Here is a catch 22 for the 25 mph law... this law says you must go 25 mph or less onthe shoulder of any highway, it doesn't say how fast on the blacktop...hmmm...I would plead insainty on this one (and pass). Just remember...when arguing with the po po...you may be right and they may be wrong, but you wom't know for sure until you arraignment.....which may not be for 12 to 48 hours. You could miss the whole ride and still be RIGHT....lol. Also... I will have a portable gas grill with me on the trail if we need to do some cookin'. The crew from the crumpler house will be up on Friday evening and leaving Sunday evening. Hope to have a good time and meet a lot of new friends. P.S. If we get a little too drunk; don't pay any attention to us....lol
