| hope i put this in the right area of the forum. if not sorry.
between now and june 10 (10th outdoor motorcross in PA) also football starts 3 week coaching season. it lasts till first of july. then i can ride again in july till august when school and football starts again.
does anyone ride in central and northern wv?realize you guys are close to the hatfield mccoys ( i have not done that either) it is just a little far for me right now.
i have a 75 acre farm and wife and 3 kids lol. and i have to take care of it so spending alot of time away is hard LOL with the farm i have a few trails and a creek to play in.
it is a long way to welch to get to ride lol
if anyone is close and wants to hit a trail of two let me know

| I would say it would take you about 2hrs to get to Mt.Hope, or over to Bergoo to ride with me. Are you looking to just drive down for a ride, and go back? Or, stay the night somewhere? The only reason I haven't put together a Bergoo group ride is the nearest place to stay is Summersville, and thats 1 hr away from the trails. | |

| where is Bergoo? and yeah we would be just coming for a day ride. or maybe stay in a tent is not out of the question. are there a lot of outlaw trails out there that you dont need a permit to ride on? what kind of stuff can you get into on these outlaw trails? I am looking for soemthing fun to get my wife interested and also dont want to have to bury my ride in 3 feet deep water and ruin it. I am not above some mud but i dont aim to tear anything up just yet. YET!! is the key word LOL like i said i am new to these poker runs and trail systems. I have only done 1 poker run and raced my sport bike in a bunch of different places, so . . . . . the poker run i was on was 50% gravel road 25% hardtop and the rest trails LOL not really exciting. | |

| Bigben you should try to make the 5 Points ride. We are staying at Camp Copperhead June 4th weekend. You could be at the campground in about an hour and a half. I live in Pennsboro and it's about 35 minutes from here. http://www.campcopperhead.net/ | |

New Martinsville is in the same area. It's about 35 miles from 5 Points and Camp Copperhead, but 5 Points is 30 miles from the campground. It's a really large area and alot of good trails. I have a hard time remembering all the trails i've found. I've been riding this area for 27 years and i'm still finding new trails, they just seem to keep going. LOL!!

If you stayed on the left side of Rt 7 after you left New Martinsville, then your farther north than I have been. I've been to Rt 7 but i've never crossed it. Generally by the time I get to Rt 7 i've already rode 50 plus miles just to get there. I'm guessing you were about 70 or 80 miles from Camp Copperhead by trail.

| if i remember correctly the old gas station where i made the left onto 7 off of 2 was closed down....after i made that left i probably went another 10 maybe 15 miles(roughly) it was nice down there...kinda odd to be riding up a crick bed and come to a part where another steam hooks into it with intersection signs just like a road would have...that and you would be riding up the crick and come to a driveway coming out of the crick to some pretty bada$$ houses but yet driving up the crick was the only way for the ppl to get to them | |

[url=http://www.campcopperhead.net/ http://www.campcopperhead.net/[/quote[/url]] Bigben - Hope you can make it to the 5 points ride. I'll be there with my '09 Teryx and it will be my first ride there as well (thanks for guiding Thunter!). I live in "occupied Virginia" (suburbs of Washington D.C.). Mapquest says it will be a 5 hour drive for me, but I'm sure the SXS riding will be worth the truck time. Check out the videos of those trails that Thunter has posted recently.

| Ben, Bergoo is near Webster Springs, WV. Looks like about a 2 1/2 hr drive for you 150 miles. Bergoo is not a huge area, but a decent amount of trails with no rules, on private land. It has a little bit of everything when it comes to the terrain. You can ride maybe 100 miles without backtracking any. Lots of smaller trails in between the main ones, and great scenery. I would have put together a small group ride long ago, but didn't because there is not a good place to stay close by. I don't want to see anyone have to drive 1 hr each way to ride once they drive a long way to get here. | |

| Lol figured someone on here had been on that ride. I stayed back towards the rear of the group so we could kinda go at our pace a lil. My cousin was on a dirtbike and it was a lil less starting n stopping every 15 feet. You remember the hill climbs by the powerlines I wanna say that the pipebuggies were.climbing? | |

| I was actually leading the pack for most of that ride, the benefit was for the granddaugher of my good friend so we stuck out in front. Those hillclimbs were actually small compared to what you will see if you ride the 5 points area....but that area in general has some really great trails....mud/hillclimbs or just easy riding, whatever you want to tackle, its there. I like to cut loose everynow and then, but like most places, you have to watch out for people on the liquid courage on the holiday weekends. | |

| Them guys were climbin over on the right side with the pipe.buggies and my birdie I.went with had to be an a$$ and climb the steeper side over to the left with a rzr. Only thing going thru my mind was we were out there for a good cause to ride and he had to act like a dumbass...needless to say they have an event like that again I would not bring him. He did a few other things thru the day that pisses me off also....I would actually really enjoy going down and riding that area again... | |

But, the campground is a lease the site, and put your camper on it for a extended period of time type of deal, not a pay to camp out for a night. I will talk to her and see if she has any ideas. I would love to have a small group ride here, but don't want anyone to be dissapointed because they don't have anywhere nice to stay, and have to rough it just because it's a long drive. One day is just not enough if your driving a long way with today's gas prices. It wouldn't be worth it to spend alot of money just to ride for one day here if you have somewhere closer to home to ride.
