| I agree. Would like the details. I'm sure I will get around to it sometime. Rzr must be SXS speak for Harley. It's like when I bought my first new fl in 2001. Gawd the parts I added. Lol. | |

| Here are pictures of the gauges & oil cooler installation. Parts list: Gauges: Harbour Freight Cheapos $21ea - $90 Total Oil Cooler: Advance Auto $30 22' 3/8" hose - $15 Remote Oil Cooler Adapter: Weller Racing $65 K&N Oil Filter $12 Water & Oil Temp sensor housing: UTV Crap $60 (2) 3/8 NPT to 3/8 barb hose fitting - $6 Hose clamps 1. Sticker removed and dash cleaned: 2. Tape applied and laid out the spacing for the gauges. Decided they would fit well with 1/2" between them, so they are 2-3/4"OC. (2" gauges) 3. Holes drilled & cleaned up. Hint - Drill slowly so the hole saw does not get hot and melt the plastic. 4. Gauges installed for trial fit. A standard 2" hole saw leaves the holes slightly too small. Use a sharp knife to trim out a little more, not much. The gauges should install with a snug fit (no brackets required to hold them in). 5. Here are all the parts required to complete the install. Also a good picture of the oil cooler, actually it's a tranny cooler (same same). The dimensions are 8-1/2 x 18" I believe, fits very well in front of the radiator. 6. Remote oil cooler adapter from Weller Racing. Quality part! Comes with a 1/8NPT port for oil line / sensor. I did not use this port...why later. 7. Oil filter removed, next remove the oil filter fitting. 8. Everything cleaned & adapter installed. Leave slightly loose at this point so it can be rotated. 9. Oil lines in place and tightened. Adjust the adpater so the hoses are inthe correct position and tighten the oil filter fitting.

| 10. Route the lines up through the tunnel carefully making sure to use sweeping turns. 11. Lines coming out of the tunnel and turning into the passenger wheel well. 12. Water sensor housing. Note the small screw on the housing. This is to ground the housing if youe sensor only uses one wire. Some sensors use the sensor casing as a ground, if so them the housing must be grounded. The HF gauges uses two wires, signal & ground so it was not necessary to ground the housing. 13. Water temp sensor & sensor housing installed. 14. Oil temp/pressure housing. It comes with one 1/8NPT port. I drilled and tapped for a second port. This way the temp sensor would be in oil flow and be accurate as opposed to mounting them both on a "T" fitting. Note: I was not impressed with the UTV Crap parts - IMHO - poor finsh & the oil housing is poorly designed. If the temp sensor is inserted completly (threaded tight) it almost completly blocks the oil flow (pi$$ poor). I wraped the sensor with extra thread tape and only inserted until it was just over finger tight. This allowed better flow. I silconed around the outside of the sensor to hold it tight and prevent leaks. (I will make a better housing later) 15. Oil temp & pressure sensors installed and lines routed up in front of the radiator. 16. Oil cooler installed, lines tightened. 17. Wired sensors. Note: use good weather proof connections. 18. Gauges working - done! Also addded a switch plate and HID headlights. The gauges: Sorry but I refuse to spend hundreds of dollars for Autometer or marine gauges. The HF $21 gauge can be made weather tight by running a slight bead of silicone around the outside of the bezel. Even if one fails I can replace it 3 times for the cost of one Autometer.

| That looks real nice. I would like to have volts, and water temp guages. Any certain kind I should go with as far as holding up to getting wet? | |
