| This weekend was a CLUSTER Myself and Mason met up at Pinnacle Creek Campground at 10:00am Friday morning we rode over 30 miles while we were waiting on a buddy of mine and a big group he was bringing from South Carolina. We got to ride with them a couple of hours Friday evening before the thunder storms kicked in and it was down hill from there it rained and with thunder and lighting all night and when we got up Saturday morning it was bad with the bridge at the Campground moved about 20 feet from the flood waters and the damage to the road from the Stairsteps all the way to the WAgon Wheel there were chunks of road missing with water in some places appx 2' deep so everyone was worried about getting their trucks and trailers out so the agreement was to get the HELL out while we could and on the very last water crossing which was like a big swift creek pouring across the road just before the Stairsteps where the water was real deep and wide coming across the road I picked the wrong spot and my truck went down where the road was gone and I hit the gas to get out of the drop off I heard some bad noises .I got through the water and got out to look at the damage to my truck and I had ripped the lower valance loose and knocked out the driving light and screwed up my bumper on the drivers side so I just drove it to the H/M parking lot where Mason was parked and every time I had to turn right the tire was scrubbing the bumper so when Mason showed up we hooked a tow strap to my bumper & his RZR and pulled it away from the tire to keep it from rubbing for the drive home.I didn't get many pictures and I only made one short video that will be up soon :( Pix here http://www.flickr.com/photos/rdd8/sets/72157617921636408/

| Dang bobby, Sorry to hear of your bad luck! I guess it'll be a while before I go bitchin about the rain we've had. Not anything like that even though it's rained here 11 out of 13 days. Going out to our deer camp in Ritchie County tomorrow afternoon to see if we've had any damage out there. |

| Sounds like a bummer trip all around. Hate to hear of any bad luck on anyone. Just glad everyone is ok. I was afraid of all the rain we were getting that it would be rough toward the Wagon Wheel. | |

Not real good there will be plenty for WV DOT to repair.

| Well at least the truck was able to get you out of there. You could have washed away. You stand on those 8.1s your going to go somewhere! I bet that will really change the riding area there in WW and surrounding areas. | |

I'm sure there will be some trails that were already rutted and rough that will be much rougher now

| Glad to hear you are all ok. Water in WV comes up quick, that water really hauls coming off of these mountains. Glad you guys were able to get out safely. That's a gutsy move, but I'm sure it was the best idea at the time. Sounds like you didn't have very much time to even think about it, just get the hell out. | |

| One thing about rain like this it really changes the creek trail. Everyone will have to learn whats deep and whats not now all over again! | |

| Damn Bobby. That sure sucks about the truck. Just glad no one got washed downstream. That sure sucks for the folks of Gilbert. I hope the water recedes soon and they can get busy cleaning and fixing stuff. | |
