| I went by world class today to see if Polaris made the rebuild kit for the starter. They do not. I guess it is in the aftermarket. Does anyone know of a good website to get the rebuild kit from? Anyone have any experience with their rebuild kit? Thanks in advance! |

Thanks in advance! T-bone...from the way mine did and others have done...I think you could just have a front bushing machined to take place of the front needle bearings and clean it up and put it back together. At least it would make for a good spare. At a boy James...Keep up the good work.........how about if I run out of beer and pizza on the trail...will you still deliver? | |

| Well I have seen some rebuild kits for 30 dollars. This old starter needs new bearings and also brushes. The rest will clean up with some brake cleaner. I am going to rebuild it and throw it in the parts bin when I am on the trail. If anyone on my list loses their starter I am going to tow them before I give them the starter though. |

| I found this on ebay. I am thinking about ordering it and using only the parts that are needed. I am going to put it together and see if it works when someone needs a starter or if I need a starter. What do you guys think of this kit?

The commutator can be cleaned up with scotch-brite pads. |

| the nose bearing is .750 od x.529 id x .439 long , tractor supply may have one ! if not I can make some out of oil lite bushing material , just dont tear up that seal ! mine works great . I got a spare from James and I keep in the trailer ! also I keep tie rod ends , wheel bearings , good used ball joint , spare switch with two keys , oil and filter , and sometimes an air cleaner ! | |

| I found the starter on my rzr, and it looks like a pita to change. I'm guessing the bed has to come off?? Porkchop, that bronze oil lite would have to make a much better bushing than a needle bearing that small, I've seen that stuff take lots of abuse. Keep us posted on the Tractor supply bearing, that should be quick and cheap. | |
