| What size of open trailer is a good trailer? Also are the aluminum ones good? I have a regular metal trailer with wood bottom. I think the one I have is a 6x14 and it's kinda big for one sxs. Would any of u guys buy an aluminum? |

| So far I have found a 10x6 quality trailer at trailers of the east coast. It has a ramp and mesh sides. I am wanting the mesh sides so I can put the machine in and put stuff around it like coolers and such. Only thing is how do you strap the machine down? Run straps over the sides of the rail since the sides are mesh? |

| I got a 6 1/2 x 12 and love it. I like that little bit extra. The length helps me park the rzr just right for weight distribution, but I'm towing with a light truck. With the 6 1/2 wide I have one 2 x 6 out side the tires on each side of the S. Nothing wrong with the 6x10 though. I don't know what the weight diference is between the 10 and 12 ft, but you would never know with a big v8 or diesel. | |

| I bought a 6x12 aluminum. I was told the alum, comes in 24ft. pcs and it turns out it was only $60 more for the extra two feet length. Glad I did because now if we have extra gear, totes, gas cans, or coolers I have room for them on the trailer if needed. I bought the ut612a

| TBONE, aluminum vers steel is less weight and no problems with rust. But weight is not a facter for you with the truck you have. Main items I would want is bigger tires like 15 inch and not those little dounut tires and try and get one with EZ lube hubs. | |

| I have had a 6.5x12 Steel trailer for the last 10 years , I belive it to be the perfect size , it is about all my truck can do to haul it full of rock or mulch , will haul 3 atv's sideways , hauls my RZR and the Ranger I had with room to spare , has a 3500 LB axle so weight is not a problem . The reason I like a wood floor is you can screw thing down ( Tie down's, Etrack , motorcycle loops ETC ) , Repairable . | |

| 6 x 12 in my opinion. Gives you the extra room for packing some gear | |

| If I could get that trailer above that I have a link to and get it with mesh added to the sides then that would be the deal! |

| Well I have a 6.5' X 14' I can haul my RZR straight and one Atv sideways.TBONE with the truck you have I would buy a trailer big enough to haul your Commander & your RZR so you would need an 18' to 20' it sure is nice when you can car pool up with someone for a ride and split the Gas | |

| Tbone.....how many support bars does the ramp have? I have a 6.5x12 I got mine from 67 trailers, up my way for I think around $1100 couple years ago. Mine has 8 support bars counting the ones on the edge on the ramp and they will replace it if you break it.....they dont think you will.

Well what do you do when u go ride and leave one on the trailer? Just chain the second one up? I was just pointing out that if you ever need to or want to bring both you could and if you stay at Ashland I don't think it would be a problem leaving one on the trailer. The main reason to buy one large enough to haul 2 Side X Sides is 1.There will be times that you may want to haul one for another member and you both can save for example if you want to go to the Five Points ride Labor Day Weekend I could meet you at Wal Mart in Princeton and we share the fuel cost but mainly as the site grows and the more people you meet near your home you can save some money by sharing the fuel cost and hauling two instead of one. 2.A longer trailer is easier to back | |

| I would get a 18-20footer. Like Bobby said you can at least have the option to take both of your rides or a friends and split gas. If money wasn't the issue I would get almuinum. I have a 6 1/2' x 12' trl with a side ramp and it's not heavy, but not light either. Mine is 6 yrs old and starting to show some rust and other metal fatigue. | |

| Dodge 1500 with Hemi pulling Rhino on 5x8 trailer = 12.5mpg Dodge 1500 with Hemi pulling Rhino on 7x20 trailer = 9mpg The longer trailer is not free to tow. My 7x20 weighs 1500+ lbs empty vs my 5x8 weighs 400 lbs. The 5x8 is very manageable by hand; the 7x20 is not. I'm a fan of light small trailers. They can be used around the house. My 7x20 sits most of the year. Too big for going to Lowes. Too heavy to use for yardwork. Too long for pulling through a drive-thru at McDonalds. My 5x8 sits in front of my building and is used several times a month. I'd highly recommend a 6 x 10 aluminum or steel with mesh floor. The mesh floor reduces weight and cleans itself... | |

| You are correct Bobby. A good diesel will only see 1.5 to 3mpg differnce from small trailer to large trailer. I still like the small trailers for their everyday uses. | |

| I have a 6x12 Featherlite I bought used for $1K. All I done to it was replace the tires, painted the rusted wheels, put all LED lights on it, a new jack. I say go Aluminum.....I love mine, I will never own another steel. My Duramax doesen't know that my trailer, and Rhino is back there!!! | |

| I just bought a nice 6 X 10 for my Rhino. It is made by Top Brand and has 2'"X 3" tubing around the top unlike the normal angle iron. Also had a split tailgate. | |
