| On the east side of Raleigh, probably 45min - hour from Elon. Your welcome to come down and hang out. We'll throw some burgers on the grill. Nothing special but it will do: I have about every tool known to man. My problem is I'm still in the process of renovating our current house and most of my tools are at my rental house. Maybe I'll try to get the garage squared awya this weekdn and start moving tools over. |

| At the Mt hope ride I was thinking that you were ready for some doors. I'm sure that thing covers you up with mud pretty good, plus the rocks and tree limbs hurt. Building your own may mean that you will have a few squeeks and rattles, but $125 is better than $500. I made mine from 1/2 water pipe, the O.D. on it is about 3/4". My door skins are 16ga steel fully welded on. I would guess that they weigh about 17# each. Not as heavy as I thought they would be. I hope this helps you come up with a plan. Oh, and the contours of the rzr door openings are a real booger to get the bends to fit close. | |

| Thanks Steve. Won't be any rattles and squeeks when I'm done. Unlike the commercial doors available, I view the doors are an integral part of the cage. All the door I've seen are simply meant to keep some from hitting the occupants, not for occupant restraint & protection. They will be make of 1" & 1.5" DOM tubing with bear claw latches. The top bar (1.5" main support) will lock in place with a push pin like a swing out drag car door bar. This will provide side support in the event of a rollover. At least that's the plan so far LOL |

This sounds serious. I can't wait to see what you come up with. I guess the protection is the main thing when you risk a rollover often. That never even crossed my mind when you started talking doors. I was just thinking of all that mud getting in my beer if I were in your rzr. | |
