| I would have a hard time giving up my Ranger so unless I could swing a RZR in addition, I'll just stay with the 05 500. I seems that more and more rides are tailored to RZR's. Do the RZR's have problems with ground clearance? Does it need a lift? What should be done to it to make it very trail ready? | |

Yes a 2" lift I think is needed and after market wheels or wheel spacers and some people do both to widen the stance especially with a lift.I think a top is a must & a winch & better tires. Those are the biggest things to make it trail worthy and the other accessories can wait until the funds build back up

| i went riding today with the rzr first time i had it on the trails. now i know what i need to get. first is a lift, i drug bottom a lot. and will need spacers with the lift. the tires are not to bad but i plan to change them out in a few months but i think i will run stockers for a while. would like a good set of skid plates also but going to see how the stock ones hold up first. also need rocksliders and front and rear bummpers.
so i plan to add lift, spacers, rocksliders, and bummpers soon also a top |

| SRS out of Greensboro is runnin a ad on Craiglist selling RZR's for $9999, so I called and went thru the sales pitch and the end Price is $11,500 ( $750 tax, $150 Doc, $600 assembly fee ) . How does this compare to the numbers that some of you have gotten ? It would take a good price for me to buy from them ( bad experience in trying to purchase a ATV from them ) . | |

| Performance east or Wilkesboro Polaris were the two best prices I could find when I bought mine . PE was $100 cheaper but Wilkes was closer to me. |

Travis also said he will help sell mine , if I buy from him he will not charge to sell .... See why everyone is headed east ...

The other must have on a RZR in my opinion is a snorkel system to overcome the reportedly lacking stock intake that does not filter well and allows engine damage. In a dusty riding environment, I'd consider this as a must.

I had heard they were supposed to be re-engineering it, but I have never heard any verification of that. Some accountant may have put it on a balance sheet and found they were better off just warranteeing claims that came in versus the expense to retool. Hard to know. Hopefully they have remedied the problem.
