BRP Recalls Can-Am Outlander & Renegade Due to Loss of Steering Can-Am Outlander Utility ATV & Can-Am Renegade ATVs Recalled
Brea, CA (12/26/2011) - The following product safety recall was voluntarily conducted by the firm in cooperation with the CPSC. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.
Name of Product: Model Year 2010 Can-Am ATVs
Units: About 2,400
Distributor: BRP U.S. Inc., of Sturtevant, Wis.
Hazard: The dynamic power steering can fail, resulting in the sudden loss of steering control. This poses a risk of injury or death to riders.
Incidents/Injuries: The firm has received one incident report with no injury no material damages. | |

| I got to hand it to Can Am, at least they'll admit when there is a problem and issue a recall. I have NEVER gotten one for my RZR, even after I had to replace the junk plastic cage in the front differential that always breaks. Not to mention the transmission that will not come out of park on a steep hill, the clicking noise from the front hubs, junk air cleaner, etc, etc. | |
