| Here's an option that I think worked pretty good. Five inches of heater hose, clamp, 1" hole saw and a 3-3/8" extension of the dipstick. I can pull it w/o removing the seat. [url= ] | |

| I like the idea , just not sure on the application ..... As far as the stick goes then end is very simular to a GM product ( motor and trans ) . I have never noticed how Polaris connects it connects to the motor but if simular might find a match there in a solid metal tube then cut down the oil/trans stick and re-mark .... Removing the seat to check the oil is a pain , and this would definatly make it much easer to keep a check on .... | |

| I may be missing something since its early but doesn't that move the dip stick OUT the same distance so you would have to overfill the oil to read the correct level......which wouldn't be correct? | |

| on ebay, you can get a dip stick re-locate kit, around 50 bucks and turns the stick where it comes out in front of the motor . at the rear passenger tire. here is a picture of it and the link if interested http://www.ebay.com/itm/Polaris-Ranger-RZR-Oil-Dipstick-Relocation-Kit-RZR-800-/220929861885?_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D5%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D5673064405289975897 | |

I lengthened the dipstick(using one from a junk lawn mower motor) the same amount as the length from the old tube mouth to the new, ~3-3/8". Oil level reads the same. The locking mechanism actually seals tighter on the hose that it does on the metal tube otherwise I'd probably spent some time looking for an automotive dipstick to cut down. This is REALLY easy to do. You can even tell from my picture where to drill the hole. | |
