| Ok, I'm getting really tired of the stock seatbelts getting mud down in the retracters, lap belt tightening up as I ride, and the shoulder belt digging into my neck. I'm dumb when it comes to this aftermarket belt stuff. I've done a search and can't find the info I want. I would like to get the Superatv ones, or the pro-armor. Should I get the 2" or 3", and why? Looks like the 3" pro-armors attach on both sides at the top to the bar. I like that. The others shoulder belts seem to go into one mount. How do you mount these? I know alot of you have them. I would like some more detailed info on the install. Some pics of how they are mounted would be nice also. | |

| my cousing bought the pro armor ones for his xp.
i belive there the 3" i think the wider the belt the less digging in it will do when pulled tight.
as for the insatll, we used the H bracket they come with and just wraped them on the rear bar. they pulled tight and have worked perfect for sevral rides.
the sides just bolted in to the stock belt locations.

| I just got a set of Pro Armor but I haven't got a chance to ride with them yet. Install was pretty easy, like jbeane said you just use the h bracket and wrap the belt around the rear cross bar. I used the bolt from the upper stock seat belt for the lower left (if your sitting in the machine) mounting location on the Pro Armor since they don't provide one with them. I thought the directions that came with them were pretty useless, don't know if I would even consider them directions. If you go with Pro Armor make sure wherever you order them from have them in stock,I've seen some guys that have been waiting since November/December and still don't have them yet. I got my off Ebay $129 shipped and had them in about 4 or 5 days. Sorry don't have any pics right now but I'll try and get some later today. | |

| I have the 3" DJ Safety padded belts and love them. They are very comfortable and look good too, I would recommend them to anyone. http://www.sidebysidesports.com/djsa4ha.html | |

| One other thing, DO NOT buy the belts with the cheesy ass velcro sternum strap! After they get a little dirty they will not stay fastened. Go with a buckle like the DJ Safety and the Dragon Fire belts have, Good luck! | |

| I got the Simpson 5 point, except for the extra time it takes to put them on I love them. I like the 2 inch better because if it's a 2" belt then you get 3" shoulder pads. If it's a 3" belt you have 4" shoulder pads. I think the wider pads would hit my neck more. I also like a 5 point harness because the sub strap keeps the lap belt from riding up. If I ride without the sub strap hooked up the lap belt ends up around my rib cage. But I tend to snug the straps up pretty good, at least when I'm riding at my pace. | |

| Pro Armors all the way. In the Feb issue of UTV they did a big write up on harnesses. I had already been researching them alot. In this segment you def get what you pay for. My vote for side by sides was Pro Armor. It was by far the best and stood out. Right on its butt though were the Crows and Simpsons. I just say pro armor because if the padding seems a little nicer and it has the pockets on the straps for a cell phone or mp3 player. Also has a flash light that slides in it. The flash light comes with it. |

| Ive got simpson 5pt 3 inch with removable pads, I like them, not much different than Tbone's but after seeing Tbone's in person I like them a little better n everyone is correct u get what u pay for. Also the sub belt stops mine from riding up. I would get the ones Tbone has if did it again. Our local popo dealer carries them n we (wv sxs riders) all get a discount. When I tried several on I was surprised the 3 inch were more comfortable than the 2 inch. I do however like the removable pads, don't need them in the winter due to lots of clothing but will probably want them in the summer, that is yet to be seen for myself. Good luck getting some, they were the most annoying things to figure out which ones to buy! | |

| that is one bonus of the pro armors. they do come with the lil led light.
on the mounting, when you remove the stock belts, use the big bolt that holds the belst at the lower point. i think its a lil bigger than the upper one.

Same here, except I prefer the 3" w/pads. The "off-road" set has the left lap and shoulder belt on one latch fitting. With the crotch belt pull 'em all down tight and haul azz. Oh yeah, if you wrap them around the rear hoop lateral brace, install stops to prohibit the belts from sliding sideways.

| I had to zip tie mine cause the outside harness kept wanting to slide farther out. I didn't tie them tight, just enough to keep from moving. I actually had to use 2 ties on each side cause 1 was too short. | |

I had welded loop guides on mine. Don't know why some sort of tight clamp wouldn't work. I've changed mine to self centering anchor plates. Sure wouldn't trust zip-ties in a violent rollover. I have the Simpson mounting requirements if anyone's interested.
