| I have a fantastic motorcycle/ATV mechanic that has always worked on my rides, but just learned this morning that he is out on medical leave for another 2 months. Anyone in the Greensboro, NC area (or close by) got recommendations of trustworthy mechanics who could repair a few things on a 2005 Rhino? Mind you, we are not talking about terribly involved stuff here, as I only need the following addressed: 1. Torn CV boot replaced (and of course, if any damage to the axles, that taken care of). 2. Rear axle on the other side "seated" into the differential properly, as I don't think it is sealing properly. 3. Muffler is shaking after the last ride and making a racket. It's still on the hanger, so guessing it might have just come loose from the manifold (granted I could probably address this, but since in the shop for the first 2 items, can just get it done then).
Of course price is a factor, so trying to avoid dealers if at all possible (as any experience I have had with them over the years has been less than stellar). Any input is most appreciated. Thanks all.

| Steve, the only one I really know of that I have heard great things about locally is the guy Matt knows in Statesville. I know thats still an hour away but thats all I know of around here.
The boot shouldn't be a big deal to change. The exhaust rattling was a problem on my Rhino also. I ended up having to Frankenstein (weld, bracket, hanger etc) a fix to get it to stop LOL.

| If you have any mechanical ability at all you can replace the CV axle boot yourself. I have replaced boots, seals, and even had to replace a busted axle. I would say that a Rhino is one of the easier SXS's to work on! | |

| Actually the guy is in Mocksville, more specifically Calahaln. It's still going to take you 45 minutes to get there though. It's the guy I send contact info to you earlier. | |

Good point on Second Chance Drew, I forgot about them....nice folks there. Randy R "Roamerr" also had a place up 52 somewhere, maybe Mt Airy or King that did some work on his Rhino. Sheave/clutch spring I think.

Hell I'll fix it for u at a reasonable rate, not free but I definitely won't rape u. Thought more would jump in to help a man out. I know alot of u have the knowledge to fix this. Come on guys. If u can't find someone close just give me a pm. I should be done Thursday helping a buddy rebuild his popo.

| Wall to Wall in Pinnacle NC. Great place and they know Rhino's well. They jetted and fixed a few items on my 2005 Rhino. Easy to get to also -- take exit 129 off Hwy 52 and turn right. Go 1 mile to old 52 and take a left. Follow old 52 for 3 miles and it's on the right. Call and make an appt first -- that allows a quicker repair.

As for the muffler hanger you will ultimately need to fix that yourself. If you ride rough it will keep coming loose. I added a few extra bolts then added a muffler hanger at the rear. That fixed it for good. Bet it's still that way in South Dakota...
