| Ok, I know it's close to the spring ride. I will be having more rides later. Thunter is comming down this way to camp all week and do some riding, so we figured we would make it a group effort. I'm not trying to sound like a jerk, but here's what I expect. 1. We will all have a good time. 2. If you can't handle your alcohol good enough to be nice to others and take care of the guy behind you, either leave it at home, or just set this one out. You must have respect for each other. 3. The pace may vary depending on how everyone keeps up, the size of the group, and the amount/length of the breaks. So, we may stop more than you like, or we may go a little faster than you like at times. See number 4 4. No crybabys. This is supposed to be fun! 5. If anyone breaks down, I WILL NOT LEAVE ANYONE BEHIND, AND I WILL PULL YOU BACK TO YOUR TRUCK PERSONALLY. This leads us to number 6. 6. Check your machine out before the ride, check the oil, check for fluid leaks, and jack it up and check bushings, ball joints, and wheel bearings to make sure it's not ready to just completely fall apart. Don't hold up the ride because of something that could have been easily prevented. 7. We roll at 10 AM. 8. Yes, it's on Sunday. Sorry. I may have to work Saturday night, and you may have to work Monday morning, but this is the best I can do in short notice. I didn't want to type all of this, but we have alot of members now, and alot of them I haven't rode with yet. | |

I guess it depends on what kind of camping you are talking about. There is a couple places that you could camp out, but no campgrounds with hookups though. I think Thunter is camping up Williams River. That's about 45 minutes away, and it's a no pay, no reservations camping area. When it's this warm, you are lucky if you find a spot up there. I'm going to check out some stuff and see if there's any other options.

With a 20' truck & 30' camper I am long and it's tall too. I don't want to have to drag it through the trees (scratch the camper) and I need room to maneuver. WV is just too far to go for a day ride.

WV is just too far to go for a day ride. There is room for you to get in to park and camp with no trouble, but nowhere nearby with hookups. I was over that way today, and went around asking about that. The only campgrounds near there that have hookups are all tied up long term.

| Yes Roger there is room to camp right along Leatherwood creek, which is where alot of the riding is at. However it's all primitive camping. Leatherwood creek is just beautiful with more waterfalls than I can remember, some up around 50 feet. If you like to fish there is awesome trout fishing in the area with the Elk and Back Fork of th Elk very nearby. The Williams river is about 45 minutes away with very good camping and fishing also. This is some of the most beautiful parts of WV. I am not camping down there next week. My son wants to fish another stream a couple hours away. So we're just coming down for the ride and then headed back out camping for a week the next day. Bergoo is about an hour from Flatwoods. Hope you can make it, I can't get down there very often but this is my favorite place to ride. | |

| Thank you..... You guys have peaked my interest for sure. I love water falls. I do want to come. I am trying to get my stuff done around the house this week so I can go. Any idea about what time you all will quit riding? Everyone I have asked if they wanted to travel with me has asked what time I plan on being home. I guess they are worried about work on monday. | |

I plan on getting the planned ride done by 6 or 7. We will be parked in the middle of most of the trails, so I'm someone is done a little early it wouldn't be a problem to ride back toward the parking. Also, if we get done by 6, and someone wants to ride for another hr or two, I will. Anyone comming North on I-79 from the Charleston area should take Exit 57 Beckley exit, and then take Rt 82 (Birch River) to Cowen, and then 20 on in to Webster Springs. Much better time, and road than going up to Flatwoods and over. Shoot me a pm if you have any questions about travel, and I will give you my phone #. It's about 1hr 45 minutes from Charleston going that way. Something like 110 miles I think.
