| love the stock big horns, but have wanted a lil taller and more agressive tire for a while. so, picked up a set of ITP SS112 14x6's - 14x8's and some 28x9" and 11" swamp lites. rode on em today for a lil short ride. everything was all dried up for the most part, but the little bit of mud we did find, they did pretty good. weights werent too bad either stock LE wheels and stock 26x9-11 bighorns stk front 32.6 pounds new front 39.2pounds stk rear 41.6 pounds new rear 46.5 pounds andy we need to go back to fire tower road lol

| Looks great!! Love those wheels. I got a set of them on my old RZR. Would have switched them over to my XP but didn't want any more offset. | |

| Looks great! I have no idea on pressure. Drive one front tire up on a rock and air down enough to get a good sidewall bulge, with full tread contact, and go from there. | |

| reason i asked, the load rating is at 7psi. they had 8 in them when i opended them. so i just rolled with it to see how they worked.
( big horns havd been down to 9psi for the past 4-5 rides)
on a very VERY small bump the outside bead popped off on one rear.
luckily our buddy cody was with us and had his expidition looking rzr with the onboard compressors and we got it popped back on fairly easy on the trail.
we bumped the rears up to 11psi and they seemed ok the rest of the day.

| I run 8 to 10 in my 12" bighorns. 8 may be a little low for high speeds on rocky rutted trails. But, 10 is a little much for max traction on harder trails at avg. speeds. I have yet to have any issues, but it all comes down to driving style and speed most of the time.
I think ply rating, size, etc, means nothing when it comes to best pressure. I think every tire is different, and you just need to ride it to figure it out. I use the method I posted earlier to find a ball park pressure for any tire offroad, including full size rigs.

| I HAVE A SET THAT I JUST TOOK OFF....MAKE SURE YOU AT LEAST RUN 8LBS. I TRIED RUN RUN AROUND 6 AND PUCTURED 3 SIDEWALLS THE FIRST TIME OUT.
I STARTED RUNNING 9 ALL THE WAY AROUND AND NEVER HAD ANY MORE TROUBLE. THEY DO REALLY GREAT IN THE MUD....THEY ARE A LITTLE SOFT SO STAY OFF THE PAVEMENT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.

| Let us know how you like them at high speed. Any negatives at speed in other words. Also if you have any rubbing. They look great! | |

| it will be a week or so before i can give you a honest report on them at speed.
i have a tie rod end thats got some serious slop in it as well as the front lower bushings and all the rear bushings that need replaced. you know those high quality polaris plastic bushings lol
gona get that done this week and get the alignment strait and then get a ride in.

| Let me know how much power they rob. I have thought about going a little bigger, or at least going with a more capable tire next time. | |

so far on this first ride. i deff noticed a little bit of lost low end. say if your just setting at idle, and stomp it. it will bog for a second before getting in the power. some of the lost low end feeling is also the added traction on certain grounds. depending on the ground your on, its not noticeable. ie they spin on hard pack and gravel. the machine still has plenty of power in high gear to get sideways, and throw some roosts if ya want. i have a friend thats got boxes of clutch springs and weights. hes suposed to help us out on the low end. winkwink. s102000 just put his on this eve. he got the same tires and ss212 wheels.

| My main concern would be the power right at belt engagement in low range. Is it still a good crawler? I would imagine it would still be good, but 28s is some good sized rubber. I think just going up 1" wouldn't be worth it, but 28s should make an improvement going over rocks, downed trees, and pulling up out of a hole. | |

exactly the reason we decided to go with 28's. my 26" bighorns measured out at a hair over 26.5'' these with the machine setting on them only measure 27.5'' now that was only at 7psi as i measured them before checking pressure. i would say there still under 28'' now that ive got them at 10-11psi. but probably closer to 27.75" now on to your orig question. when the machine is in low, i notice zero power loss. couple of the spots we rode this past week end, i always go to low and 4wd and just crawl up. and this week end i did the same with no noticeable diffrence in power.

I've been thinking about my next tire, the trails I ride, my driving style, etc. I don't need to outrun anybody, but I would like to make their jaws drop when the going gets tough. I do ride avg trails most of the time, and the bighorns do great. I just don't like the dragging, and all the sliding side to side. Sometimes I think I need two sets of tires/wheels depending on where I ride, and what time of year it is.

| i'll tell ya i kinda think the same way. i will say this the bighorns will prolly go back on during the winter. these swamp lites throw baseball sized mud ball's.
one option i looked at and researched before buying these, is the 27" big horns. being that there over 27" measured.
but for the price of just the 4 new big horns i only added 200ish more bucks and got wheels and tires.
i only payed $836 to the door for these mounted with lugs.
since you have a 2010 you can put the emp 2" lift on it for 180 bucks and then if you do put some 28's youd have a ton of clearance.
ive been looking at the racer tech 2" lift. suposedly it wont bind the CV's on my 2012 like the EMP did.

| I have the EMP lift on now. It made a noticable difference. My only complaint is the rear is a little more bouncy now. I can't carry the speed through the rough trails that I did before the lift, but I can tell you that I won't take it back off. I can't stand making a choice on tires, no matter what vehicle they are for. | |

| im jealous. i want a 2'' or so lift, but the EMP bound my CV's tight. racer tech says theres wont bindthe cv's on my 12 but its hard to spend 230 bucks to take a 50/50 chance.
i thought about just melting the credit card and buying the satv +5" kit. only drawback to that is i still like going fast too. dont want a mud only machine

| man i like the look of them lifted like that, but i dont really want to be any wider than what i am. with these new wheels im about 61-62"
i put the wider flares on at stock width to keep some slop off us. i dont mind getting a lil muddy but i dont ant to get covered up on every little hole.
any idea how wide it is setting like that?

I put a set of 28" Swamp Lites / ITP SS108's on my 900xp and love them! I started out with 8lbs. but moved up to 10lbs. Now have 100 miles on the first trip out with them. I like how they seem to deflect the shallow water instead of sending the water over the hood at me! ricksrzrxp
