| Polaris RZR 570 3/22/12 Test rode Polaris 570 rzr, noticed the transmission slipped for a second before it engaged. ( didn’t think much of it at the time, to excited I guess)
3/23/12 Purchased same Polaris rzr 570 test drove by me prior (it was the only one available that day at the dealer) Mechanic went over the machine with me. Mechanic told me to always use low gear when climbing or when machine is under stress. I told him of the transmission slipping the day I test drove the machine. He didn’t think this was important as it was a new machine and belt was just getting “seated”.
3/25/12 RZR broke down at on trail ride. Transmission started to “free wheel” and wouldn’t engage. RZR had to be towed back to trailer.
3/30/12 Rzr back from Freedom power sports. I was told there was a factory defect in the transmission. The problem had something to do with a bolt not being torque properly. Transmission and belt replaced.
4/14/12 RZR down again with a broken belt only a mile into the trail ride. Belt came apart and was wrapped so tight, machine wouldn’t even turn over enough to start engine. Rzr had to be towed back to trailer.
4/20/12 Rzr back from freedom power sports shop with assurance problem is fixed. New belt installed. I was given the following 3 different reasons by 2 different people on what caused the belt break.
#1 I need to change my riding style and never use low gear unless I am crawling along at a very slow pace.
#2 Small amount of water found in the bottom of the case surrounding the belt, possibly from washing the machine
#3 Plastic wedges possibly broken or missing on the clutch assembly which would have been virtually undetectable by mechanics
5/1/12 Rzr down again belt came apart . After inspection dealer tells me nothing is wrong that would make the belt break apart and that I need to change my riding style. Also never be in low gear when driving above 10mph. Dealer told me he is taking machine home to his property to test drive machine. According to his calculation my average mph was 9.49

| GEEZ! Hope it gets sorted out soon! My factory warranty is almost out... looks like I'd be a fool not to get the extended warranty! That's what everyone tells me... | |

| 5/4/12 Picked rzr up from Freedom Power sports. Polaris would not take the machine to their headquarters as I requested. I was told the mechanics checked everything and there is nothing wrong with the machine. I was also told anytime I am riding at 10 mph or lower I should be in low gear. Polaris told dealer that if I change my “riding style” the machine should be fine.
The owner of freedom Power Sports in Bedford PA told me to take an extra belt along on my trip to Hatfield & McCoy. Also if this problem occurs again he would strongly recommend taking the machine to dealer other than his! REALLY?

| They are full of BS. It's not your riding style. Some thing is wrong with the machine. Those 570's are getting good reviews else where. Don't let them lay it off on you. | |

| Take the service mgr with you on a ride.... not a 5 min trip around parking lot, make him go with you on a ride where you are having the problems. | |

| This off the rzr forum. FYI.
i picked mine upfrom the dealer yesterday for the recall. unloaded it and poof clutch went out. took half day off work today to return it to my dealer! it took him ten mins to fix! here is the problem, the pulley must be flush with the shaft, u must push this pulley onto the shaft for the pulley to be inline with the clutch. polaris told my dealer that all the shop are missing this because it is differnt then the 800. so i got a new pulley and a new drive belt from this. you can check this your self remove the right rear tire, remove the belt cover and then remove the bolt in the center of the pulley (right side) if the shaft is below the face of the pulley return it to your dealer.

| Technically, the CD from Polaris that came with my machine says to use Low when driving under 7mph and High when above 7mph. Now, I bought a 900 but CD said it covered 570, 800, and 900. Said this could change the temp of belt by as much as 160 degrees. I know... I know... what was I thinking watching that CD? Hey. It was raining outside and I was bored OK. In all seriousness, I hope they get you straightened out. I would contact Polaris direct if not satisfied this time. Tell them you've posted your experience online for all to see. | |

| I ride in high 99% of the time, no matter what speed I am going. I have over 2300 miles on the belt and it shows little wear. So it is something with your machine, not your driving. | |

| Gosh I hate to hear this. Sounds like Bubba or Red has been doing your maintenance work.
Either way I would call Polaris customer care. Hopefully they can help you. Would also talk with the owner at the place more and get them on your side which they should be in order to get this resolved. Pooplaris is really hard to deal with on issues like this unfortunately. If all that doesnt work then call your lawyer and have him step in. Usually when that happens something gets taken care of. Just make sure you go through the proper channels. |

| I would ask to speak to a factory Rep. I would take what they said to another dealer , or heck contact Carolina Polaris ( sponcer of the site) and ask to speak to Zack ( Mechanic ) and ask him if what they are saying is correct . | |

| my .02 / cents worth This is a brand new machine and I had the first run of the 800 RZR in 2007 and hell i rode low speeds in high and high speeds in low and never never never broke a belt, blew transmission/gears and motor top end but never a belt. Bobby D can tell u the hell I gave my machine for 1000 plus miles before I junked it. This clearly appears to be a manufacturer product defect unless the dealer worked on the machine after it arrived for sale prior to purchase, doubt it.... Call attorney, there is case law and statute law that deals directly with these issues but you need documentation/records (Proof of purchase and all repair invoices). (1.)I would have your attorney place the dealer on CERTIFIED NOTICE as they placed the said product directly in the consumer chain of commerce, i.e. Defective Product Polaris 570 RZR, YOU WANT YOUR MONEY BACK NOW OR SUIT WILL FOLLOW. (2) Have your attorney place the Manufacturer notice for producing defective product you in essance purchased something that was supposed to produce certain mechanical outcomes without defects. Blaming this on user abuse or maintance issue is very simple to beat given the time frame of events you have detailed. Who knows this could lead to a class action event or maybe this is the only defective unit made late on Friday PM at Happy Hour? Sorry to hear this and good luck, stick to your guns, and maybe someone will step up and do the right thing for you? For example Polaris denied any dust/intake problems with water in electrical their 800 RZR designed and distributed in 2007 but we know better of it and so does Polaris... |

| Talked to my cousin about this last night. He worked for a Polaris dealer for years. He said to call Polaris and seek help through the customer service department. He said if the rep doesn't sound interested in helping you to hang up and call back. Said a lot of times one rep will say no and another will say yes. Said to try as many as you can til you get a yes. In terms of riding style, my experience is you really can't compare riding one to another. At one time my family had 6 Polaris 4-wheelers - all the same model. We all rode the same trails the same way... some broke belts multiple times and others never once. I know my cousin had seen enough in for service thru the years to always preach to me to ride in low when climbing and descending steep hills so just always have... With a belt being $200 for an XP i'm gonna gear down to low when climbing or descending. Why not? | |

| Hate that for you. My advice is be civil, and polite. If the dealer cannot or will not help you, contact Polaris as others have mentioned. Again, be civil and polite. You catch more flys with sugar than vinegar as they say. | |
