I know nothing about either one, and was never interested until it became a real bad idea to waste ammo for the bigger stuff. For fun a .22 is about the only way to go nowadays unless you have deep pockets and already setting on 50,000 rds.

Which one is cheaper, better, easier to use, etc?

I love shooting .22 LR! Cheap fun is right!!

My ruger 10/22 is a nail driver out of the box. Love it for cheap entertainment. Good target practice.

The only long gun I have in .22 is a Rem 597 .22 mag. I would like to have something in .22 LR, it would be alot cheaper to shoot.

yeah, the difference in price between LR and Mag is alot. i have a ruger 77/22 win mag. the cost doesnt bother me as mauch as it is way to nice to take out and get scratched. lol.

Ruger 10/22 all the way! You will never have any issues with it. Well worth the diff in price! They make a 20,30,and 50 round clip for the 10/22 also. If you are going to be shooting alot go ahead and get the stainless bull barrell. Tapco offers all the accessories to make it a Mini AR.. They look awesome and are alot cheaper to shoot then a 223 AR!

Well, what a coincidence. Talk about cheap thrills. Picked up this air rifle the other day, a Benjamin trail NP, 22 caliber. The neighbors are close and I wanted to plink w/o them hearing anything. Open up my garage door and shoot across the yard into my shed which is 25 yards away. Nobody notices a thing. Right now I am in the process of finding a pellet that shoots the best.

Tbone.. Even sluts and politicians have rights and feelings.. That don't mean I have to respect them. As a matter of fact I got more respect for a groundhog than the above.

I'm in the market for the Marlin. Now I need to find the right one. Seen both the standard blue with wood stock and the stainless on wood at Wal-fart. Would like the synthetic stock though. I'm setting on a fair amount of .22LR but the only thing I have that uses it is my Ruger Mark II target pistol. Just got a little bored with it.

I went to the gun show today and it was crazy busy there. I was wanting another hand gun but couldnt really find what i wanted. Looked for some Mags for my ar. They are asking anywhere from 45 dollars to 75 dollars for mags.

Looks like I'm gonna lay back for a while on the .22. They have the latest panic prices on them too, and are in high demand. Obama may not have made the economy better, but he has done wonders for gun sales.

I seen a marlin 795 blue barrel with syn stock used with a $238 price tag on it the other day! It looked like new, but wow. They say the Rugers are bring $350+ right now, and the Marlin 60s are very hard to find.
