| That wildcat didn't do 76! If it did it did it downhill.
Travis at performance east told me the cat rides a little bit better than the xp. He later said I would hate the wildcat coming from an xp. He said I will be upset about the power. Also quality of cat is suspect.
Lets see what all the other reviews say about maverick. I ha a feeling it would be a little heavy.
I also still would like to try a wildcat. He just said I will be very upset if I bought one. |

| On the plus side, the same magazine had a test of a new WildCat with a Trinity Racing big bore kit in it. The AC makes 64.9hp and 48.2ft lbs of torque at the tires in stock form. With the Trinity big bore kit it is making a whopping 102hp and 73.1ft lbs of torque...at the tires! That kind of HP would compliment the suspension of the AC quite well I bet. Numbers are normally aspirated....fuel only. Lower the compression some, add a turbo and it would be a bad Mo-Fo!!!

| Hey I want to try a wildcat. I personally think cat has stepped it up in the quality. I have not heard any issues on problems.
Travis wouldn't steer me wrong though. I like that power! Vroom vroom! |

| how many of you guys are really running 74 MPH in the woods and i mean the tight woods, creeks and washed out gulleys? i know there are a few places to open them up and let them breath but for the most part no body runs 75 MPH all day even if your buggy could run it!! and i had mine to 68 and thats plenty fast | |

| Your right. Rarely we get there. The fastest out there is the xp which runs 73 or 74 stock and that's it. |

| I didn't. Just looking at videos and research shows the cat can't do over 70. Well not flat or uphill atleast.
The facts of life shows she can't do it.
Wildcat is 77 hp and the xp is 88. That ought to show enough. Don't know what to tell ya. U made the claim of 74 to 75.

| You think its all about HP. well you are wrong do you know the gear ratio in your diffs???? I didnt think so ! think about 600 hp motor with a 546 gear in a mud truck and another one with a 350 hp motor with 456 gears with the same tire which one do you think will have the top speed |

| Here is from wildcat forum article....
"OK folks, I know you've been dieing for info. Here's a little more to feed your appetite.
Disclaimer - testing was performed non scientifically using a pre-production Wildcat. Actual production vehicle may differ.
OK, so here it is. Indicated (on factory speedometer) top speed was 72 mph with an extremely slight down hill and 70 mph the other direction. When going down hill, I was able to hit the rev limiter, which seemed to be about 7500 rpm. I have some rough video but i'm still working on getting it uploaded." |

| ATVRIDER.com quotes.....
"The Arctic Cat Wildcat 1000 is powered by a 951cc V-twin, four-cylinder engine with EFI and was made for high speed performance. The engine provides great power in the top end and has a top speed of about 70 mph, which was a lot of fun and well suited for desert racing and dunes. However, we felt that the bottom end could use a little more power and that is something that could easily be changed with some clutch work, which would make it more appropriate for a motocross style course." |

| I would take a Wildcat over anything Polaris ever made, or will ever make. And that's if the Widcat could only do 50. Don't worry Andy. Soon as Tbone buys a Wildcat, they will be the fastest thing in the world. | |

| Well I will probably try a cat. I know andy, David, and others are right on the ride. I haven't driven one but EVERYONE says they ride good. Even bobby said they do so they must ride good. I think their cockpit looks comfy too.
Everyone that owns a cat say they are holding up good and I think they are. I haven't seen a thing wrong with them. I think cat did good. I just like power and want to be with the others. I'll get it there. Just change the clutch.
I really want to try one though. |

Now go get you a Wildcat and tell Andy you are sorry! Sorry for what? He called me up there. He said he has a 76 and climbing mph cat. All I said was I have never heard of one and no testers have either. Heck the xp top I think it 73. All the other stuff he says is pretty much the truth. Dirt trax gave it a great review as well and they also complained about power. These are facts.. |

| True Jet man!!! All but the hot rod rhino part! I'm just messing around. Andy is the man! I always make sure I support the events he puts on. He puts a lot of work into them and I want to support it. Either way back to the original post. If those numbers true then that's horrible for the maverick. Time will tell. Let it get out there. See what dirt trax says. Lets all go ride and have a good time. That's what we're here for! None of us are going to hit 70 on the trail anyways. |

| Dirttrax has already said. The new episode is up on Youtube. They like it. I would say it is what I thought at 1st glance...a Commander with sport looks, long travel, and a little more power. If you like the Commander, I'm sure you will like the Maverick. If you don't like the Commander, you are not going to like the Maverick. | |
