You better get involved and email/write/call your Congressmen. I have. These idiots will try the easy(stupid) fixes to curb gun violence that we all know won't work. Let's see. We have an assault weapon ban to stop gun violence and a trillion dollar coin to fix the economy. The effective answers to address causes of these issues seem so elementary to me that the current administration's sophomoric approaches eliminate any faith that I may have clinged to for trusting their leadership. I may join the secession movement.

Join the NRA if you have done so already, please stop the fools in our Gov't....Bottom Line, we can't depend on Republicans, Democrats, or Anyone else in the Federal Gov't, take action.

They used those kids as a chance to get us soft so most would finally get sad and drink the kool-aid. That guy didn't even use his AR, it was in the trunk of his car. There were 4 pistols recovered from the school. Three people arrested outside the school and not a word said about those three. Not who they were, if they were released, detained, nothing.

It don't get any lower than to take advantage of those kids deaths for political reasons. This gun ban will be a joke anyway. The guns are out there and if the criminals can't buy them at the gun show, they will get them shipped in with the next load of cocaine.

And yeah, the NRA keeps wanting more and more money. Yeah, I'm sure they pocket alot of it. But, like it or not, money talks. Without the funds going to those of political power that want us to stay free, we would have nobody to speak for us. Then what? Obama is meeting with the brady bunch and other gays this week, then after that he is going to meet with the NRA and other gun rights groups. We were not invited. Get my point?

Won't do any good to call when Obama is going to exercise EO. I've spoken my mind to two face Manchin already. I've got to get signed up for the NRA. Was going to do that this month, but now with more $$ coming out of my check from taxes, I don't know that I can.

I don't have any of my guns registered,nor do I intend to. I have been on the fence about joining the NRA for one reason. The less anyone knows about me owning guns the better off I am but I guess I will join it anyway. We need all the help we can get.

There would be no need for NRA if we had people in office that actually went by the Constitution. The Constitution is my NRA....It is my Concelled Weapon permit.

The main problem we have today is that the punishment doesn't fit the crime. If we started hanging these sumbitches...started letting the family's of the victoms of rape and so forth go in to a room with a baseball bat and get their own justice...I promise you that the crime rate would be way less than it is today. Hell bring back the chain gangs and make them do HARD LABOR all day "NOT PICKING UP TRASH ON SIDE OF THE ROAD"...I'm taking about busting rocks all day with a sledge hammer.

We have gotten soft as a nation....gotten away from the bible. Now look at the mess that we are in.

I shut up about the NRA 'cause I'm not getting my point across. The only things that're going to really help prevent mass murder are keeping weapons away from homicidal lunatics and getting the mentally deranged out of the main stream. The country needs a renaisance in self-discipline, respect for the value of life instead of violence, individual accountability, and mental health reform. NRA can't do any of that. But, we can. Get involved.

I also share rayray's point of view on punishment. Even a wild animal is trained through degrees of measured punishment.

Rayray, you forget, if they make those people wear chains and orange coveralls, go out and clean ditches, bust rocks or anything else.... Some one might see them and that could humiliate them, now we cant have that.... the people that they raped, murdered, and robbed were given the option if they wanted to be raped, murdered and robbed weren't they.

It is the "PC" crowed that is killing this country. But why is it I can go out and drive through a group of people, kill 10 and wound 30 and you will hear no on say "we must ban all vehicles TODAY" or a company kills a dozen people with contaminated food, but we don't ban food. I know that last one is pushing it, but you get my point... I hope.

Ray ray and finz is right.seems like every one I talk to about this has the same thoughts.i think most people in this part of the country thinks this way.but we can't seem to get all this enforced.as far as our prisons.we need to clean them out.and not by release!

That right capital punishment should be handled within 30 days not 30 years and quit slapping felons on the wrist and put them in hard labor!

I own a couple of pistols, where I fall short is not being practiced with them to be a serious threat.

Hospital reports show that a person shot only once has a 80% survival rate, when multiple shots survival rates drops to 30%.
Most of these mass murderers surrendered or committed suicide when law enforcement showed up, they knew someone showed up that would fill them up with hot lead.

In a society that believes that guns are the problem and lunatics, thugs can be rehabilitated.
