| Well...last time I rode I had problems with my rzr seatbelts locking up and the battery light flickering. I fixed those problems wby adding 4 point harnesses and I bought the kit from autotrend to build my own extension harness for the voltage regulator. Well...I went out in the garage to start my machine up and it cranked over several times without starting. I let it sit and tried cranking it again and nothing.third time is a charm right? nope ...nothing. I took off the air filter and used a little starting fluid and bingo....fired right up. well..I let it run for a little bit, shut it down and let it sit for about 5 minutes and it fired right up.
Any ideas on what could be causing this? |

| Is the filter dirty? Have you pulled a plug and inspected it? | |

| I would say bad gas or the plugs are almost fouled. You could also check the plug wires. One could have gotten frayed. | |

| sounds like it is possible that after sitting for long periods you are losing pressure in your fuel injection system.maybe fuel pump getting ready to take a break but i hope not.sometimes that is a early warning when it bleeds all pressure off the line and runs back down thru the pump and into the tank.If it is a very slow bleed-off,that would explain why it started up after only 5 minutes of sitting.try waiting a day or 2 if you can and see if it does it again. | |

HeHeHe, this is the reason I sometimes despise EFI. It is great when it works, but a MF when it's broken. | |

| Let it sit while I was at work today. Came home and tried it and no dice! Its starting to piss me off...may fix it and sell the dam thing. It shouldnt be giving me problems with only 429 miles on it!!
OK...threw a battery charger on it, Blew a little dust out of the air filter, blew out the vent line on the gas tank, filled it up with fresh gas, clamped down the positive cables on the battery and checked the spark plugs. It fired up. gotta let it sit again to see if maybe I got lucky and fixed the problem.
I also primed the fuel pump as it says to do in the service manual but that did not help any at first. I also checked for an error code but there was none! |

| Well....It seems that whatever I did the other day actually fixed it. I am thinking it had something to do with either a blocked gas tank vent line or possibly the mud/ dirt that got past the spark plug boots ....it may have been grounding out the spark. |
