Sadly, this is true. I broke the output shaft at the line on my third pass. Had to be towed back to the pits by a Ford, truck left the track on a Ford, and we had to ride back home in a Ford. Truck did run a 12.53 @108 though....not bad for a 4 ton tow pig with a tractor motor under the hood.

The one time I ran my cummins in the 1/4 it did 12.92 @109. Been about 3 years ago so it should be a little faster now but haven't been back to see.
At least you can replace an output shaft without pulling the tranny!

I will be really close with some more tuning and a torque converter lock up switch.
