| i used a y pipe i got at lowe's and cap to mount 4 speakers just make sure inside diameter is 6". Cut 1" of pipe you already have to mount speaker to y pipe with the speaker screws,it is water tight but i used caulking around speaker edges just to be on the safe side.total price bout $75 | |

| I looked for my post where I put 6.5 speakers in a 6" PVC cap ( fits perfect ) but you have to have a piece of 6" pipe to insert into the cap to give you something to screw the speaker into ( like smokey above) . I had decent base sound. I did some research on some car radio forums and came across a fella that said if you need to seal a speaker use poly batting ( like what you find in a kids stuffed toy ) to allow air to compress or else the speaker will basicly air lock and sound blown . The 6" pvc cap was my answer as I was mounting them on the bar under the dash of the RZR to keep my foot wells open and up out of the mudd and muck . Either way you go you have to have air space( the batting in the tube or box) to get a good sound ( best sounding speaker in you car use the trunk , or a base box or a tube . I suggest appox 150 to 200 watts so you can hear thru the helment and when you got that good trail and the right tune .... | |
