I've been wanting to do this for awhile so I decided to bite the bullet and give it a shot. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but it wasn't a lot of fun either. First I started out by coming up with the designs and making the boxes out of some 1x3's and 1/4" plywood, then stretched a old fleece blanket over the frame. Some people use old t-shirts instead of fleece and I think it might be easier then the fleece, I might try it if I do another one. Once I got the fleece to where I was happy with it I put 3 coats of resin on it then the fun began, the sanding. After sanding the resin to where I thought it was ready for some filler(bondo) I put a thing coat of filler on it. After letting it sit over night(or longer) I sanded the filler down and went back over any spots that needed touching up. In the sanding I started with 60 grit to get the resin and filler to the shape I wanted then just keep going to a finer grit ending up with steel wool. f your thinking of doing this I would highly recommend doing it when the weather is warm so you can do it outside the garage/workshop because it a very smelling and messing job. They look pink in the pics but their actually red. Hoping to get them mounted today.

Thanks guys! The pics make them look better than they do in person but they turned out pretty good. After doing it I see why people charge what they do for them, it's not that hard just so time consuming. I actually sanded so much that one of my fingers started to bleed.
