| I thought I would throw this out here for people to read and see if more people have had this issue which caused Wrong turn several months of downtime with his RZR S. Last Nov while in the campground at Hilltop Roger went to crank his RZR and the throttle hung wide open causing him to run into a camper causing considerable damage to the camper and his RZR. Luckily no one was in front of him and nobody got hurt. After taking it to the dealership in Mt Airy where he purchased it at and they did they fixing on it he received it back and found out it had a bent frame so they had to replace that also. All thru the whole ordeal they thought he wasn't telling them everything that happened till last week they called him into the dealership and wanted more info from him and anybody else that might have had that issue being that several more have showed up recently. He has been sick with it and the way it happened and wished it had been totaled and if enough info shows up this might become a recall issue. For info his is a 2011 RZR S with the open plug on the EFI box without a high speed rev limiter and one of the latest one that had this happened was a 2013 XP with the high speed rev limiter. Thats the reason the dealerships are wanting more information if anybody can pass their issues on to them they want to pursue this. | |

| Yea lots of people think the cold weather riding throttle sticking is caused by water freezing in throttle cables and it might really be this issue all along. | |

| When I had my 2010, I had it out in some of the worst weather anyone would ever ride in. Wheels, shocks, skids, everything caked in snow and ice out in -10 temps a couple of times. Brakes froze up and wouldn't work. Wheels froze up and froze to the trailer for a week. Never once had trouble with the throttle. The whole time I was thinking it was about to happen to me because of how many had that issue. I bet there is something going on. | |

| Not exactly the same issue but on my 570 with around 600 miles on it. I just had an issue with the throttle cable went to take off at end of a 60 mile ride and rzr started to shut off and wouldn't run at much over idle and engine light started blinking at first I thought it was vane sensor at throttle pedal but after looking into it it was a stretched throttle cable adjusted it up and havn't had an issue since just thought I would post I know for me when it happened I was thinking the worst but ended up just needing a lil maintenance. | |

| My cable has froze a couple times when is was snowy and cold. It's a 08 RZR with 6400 miles. I just put a new cable on it last month. I think the original one was stretched.
I know the first time it happened, it really caught me off guard. I just reached up and turned off the key.

| I had the cable hang wide open several times on my 2012 570 in temps 25f or lower. Turned out it was ice in the cable, when I replaced the throttle cable the old one was dryrotted/cracked throughout and had several splits where water was getting in. My Rzr was made in 11-2011 so it had 3 years on the cable. Cable housing is thin junk.Has It is now a wear/maint item on my list | |

I know the first time it happened, it really caught me off guard. I just reached up and turned off the key. Just hit the paved road next time call 911 and report a runaway rzr. Tell them you don't know what to do. LOL That would be a whole lot cooler news story than a stupid Prius.
