This looks like a great set up;
Hunterworks has the Duraclutch for the RZR's now, we have had them for the Ranger line a while and I use one myself in my Ranger 900.
They are $1200 shipped, but you get a primary, a secondary and a belt both with a 5000 mile warranty!!!
I can't add them to our site though due to a contract with Polaris but we do sell them and support them.
They are available for 2013-2014 RZR XP 900 and 2015 RZR 900's all models with the 1000 RZR coming soon.
They offer a 5000 mile warranty against a burned belt and 5000 mile warranty on the clutch itself within one year. Today is November the 12th, within the last week we sold 5 to Ranger 900, Ranger 800, Ranger Diesel and Ranger 900 Crew, all positive reviews and I don't mean we just been selling a week I mean what we sold in last week.
DuraClutch
What is it? It is a complete replacement clutch that has a centrifugal clutch made inside of it with a Sprague clutch in it for complete engine braking.
Who needs it? Anyone who is constantly burning belts now, pulls heavy loads such as trailers, loads in the bed and even large heavy tires. Anyone who does a lot of slow driving and or rock crawling.
Benefits:
1. Keeps you from burning belts since the belt is always engaged
2. No jerky starts since the belt is always engaged
3. 50% more pulling power right off idle due to the centrifugal clutch and the belt being in constant tension
4. Adds engine braking due to a one way Sprague inside centrifugal clutch not relying on a one way roller bearing like some Polaris models so the engine braking system (EBS) on this is way better than Polaris’s EBS system on certain models.
The Duraclutch is a direct replacement for the stock clutch system. You will receive a complete secondary clutch, a new primary as well and a belt.
How does it keep you from burning belts? Because in the stock clutch system the belt is not in contact with the primary clutch at idle. Once you give it the gas engine rpm increases and the movable side of the clutch moves in and grabs the belt. That is also where you get jerky starts from as well. It is from the slip grip slip grip motion as the belt is barely engaged with the stock clutch. The Duraclutch has a centrifugal clutch and the belt is constant contact with both sides of the primary at idle and due to the centrifugal clutch in it, the shoes on it are at rest at idle not locking up the clutch. If you are familiar with a clutch on a chainsaw or go cart that is more or less how this clutchworks.
So once you give it the gas the shoes sling out and grab the clutch and you begin to move then once they are locked up then your Duraclutch act like the stock clutch for the rest of the shift out as it has flyweights just like a stock clutch but no they can’t be interchanged.
Who would benefit from this? In my opinion anyone with really large tires who mud bogs or rock crawls due to the 50% increase in pulling power down low because the belt does not slip. They would be the main people in my opinion but if you like all the features on then anyone would benefit.
Feel free to call me about this.
