Progessive 425 shocks for RZR

I'm wanting to upgrade my stock shocks on my RZR but I'm not wanting
to break the bank either. Has anyone tried the Progressive 425 shocks for
the RZR? I think some of the Rhino guys have them and seem to like them. If
anyone has them on a RZR, how do you like them?

check out makin trax springs. i here they are the best upgrade springs. i also liked the highlifter springs i had on my LE. superatv sells a set just like the highlifters but cheaper. you can get a discount on the makin trax springs if your a member of rzrforums.net.

I have a set of the highlifter springs but use my stock shocks. Wore the shocks out in one season. Makin trax has had good reviews with their sperings and the complete setups. I too have been looking of rsome info on the progressive shocks haven't found any reviews on them yet either.

what about works shocks not the black widow but dual rate rezzies ive been looking at those will have some prices tomorrow I also seen the walker evans shocks on a rzr at pound today looked sweet but i didnt price them

found fox 2.0s with no adjustments for 480.0 and with compression adj. 500.00 and the works with all bells and whistles for 550.00 each im pricing works with remote rezzy compression and rebound adjustment should have pricing tomorrow

I have already looked at the Makin Trax Progressive springs. The Progressive 425 shocks is both shocks and springs complete. However the 425 shocks have a linear spring, not a progressive spring on them. You can get the Progressive shocks with a standard or heavy duty spring. I have found the Progressive 425 shocks for 560.00. The Makin trax springs are 425.00 but I need to replace both my front shocks anyway. Right now I'm leaning toward the Progressive 425 shocks. I guess some dumbie has to be the first to buy them, LOL!!!

the shocks and standard springs will work leaps and bounds better than wore out stock stuff you may decide you dont even need the springs after you get the new shocks on but i believe the walker evans shocks are right around the same price and you can get the fox shocks without compression or rebound adjustments for 480.00 i would also look into works shocks before i bought anything

Is that 480 a pair or all four? I haven't seen the Walker Evans or Fox for less than 1500 for all four. Of course they both have a reserve reservoir on them and are probably a much better shock. I just don't want to spend that kind of cash on them. The wife is giving me enough trouble over the 900 dollars I just spent on new wheels and tires, LOL!!! The Progressive 425's are 560 for all four. If you know where I can get the Walker Evans or Fox anywhere close to that please let me know. Thanks!!

I can,t speak for rzr but rhino yes the 425 progressive in heavy duty at $258.64 a pair at J C Motorcycle can,t be beat

Well I think i'm gonna give them a try. At the very least I can always add the
Makin Trax springs to them later. It's gonna be a couple weeks before I order them and the way i'm working I may not get to ride much for awhile. I will post what I think of them after I get a little seat time with them.

The Progressive shocks have been ordered. I have to wait until Thursday,
April 15 before they will be shipped. The heavy duty are on back order but they should have them to ship out on Thursday. Will let you guys know how they handle ASAP.

Well I got my 425's on Wednesday and got around to installing them today. I paid 574.00 for all four shocks and that includes shipping. They were a breeze to install and I got to do a little riding with them today. My stock shocks were completely wore out and I had them adjusted as tight as they would go. So when I put the 425's on I ran them up about three quarters of the way tight. They were much stiffer than the old stock shocks and I will probably back the spring off at least half way. My ground clearance went from 10 inches in the front and just over 11 in the rear to just shy of 13 in the front and 13 and a half in the rear. The setup was to stiff today however I could not get the front end to bottom out and I tried. I did get some bucking though and it was mainly from the front. I am hoping that when I back the spring off that it will be alot softer and will put an end to the bucking but also still not bottom out in most situations. I will let everyone know how they do after I get some more seat time and get them adjusted better. I have worked 65 of the last 70 days so it may take me a bit.

I got them online at onestopmoto.com. They were 266.00 a pair plus shipping. I will be going on a good ride Sunday weather permitting. I will let you guys know how they handle and if I can get them adjusted the way I want them.

Well I did get in a good ride today and I am very happy so far with these shocks. I did back the preload off a ways but I still have the front end a little to stiff. Right after I installed these shocks I also put on 26 inch Bighorns. I now have over 13 inches ground clearance front and rear. I tried all day to bottom out the front but I couldn't do it. I can't even begin to tell you how much better the RZR rode today. For anyone that just doesn't want to pony up over a 1000 dollars on shocks I would take a serious look at the Progressive 425 shocks. I can't tell you how durable they will be but I think they are 10 times better than stock.
