Fall Ride Oct 8th-10th

Bobby I will be at Ashland Thursday afternoon and am not leaving til Sunday after the ride.

Everyone attending the Fall Ride please read the following:

To keep this large group ride organized and a good experience for all we must have a plan and not a bunch of chaos so here is the plan we must follow.


The ride times again are.

Friday 10:00am
Saturday 9:00am
Sunday 9:00am

We will leave on time everyday and no one will be sent around the campground looking for anyone that is not ready and lined up at the start times listed so be ready & on time as we will not let 1 or 2 people hold up 60+ Side X Sides.If a Side X Side has a mechanical problem and it can't be fixed in a quick manner the ride will continue and we will need maybe 2 people to help out the broken SXS and get it to a place where it can be recovered by a truck & trailer.We will stop for breaks and once the last SXS comes to a stop we will have 15 minutes for break.Once the 15 minutes is up you will hear an air horn and we will roll in 2 minutes from the sound of the horn.We will stop for a 30 minute lunch break on the trail so bring anything you will need to eat and drink.I would suggest save your drinking for back at camp in the evening as we won't be stopping enough for people to be pissing every 10 minutes.If you must drink do it in moderation so you won't be ruining someone Else's day or experience.Keep in mind we have people driving a long ways to ride and ride is what we will do.We need everyone to keep up with the person in front of you and we need each person to be 100% sure the person riding behind them knows which way to go at any & every fork or intersection in the trail.We need everyone to try and avoid from playing and holding up the group by that I mean don't go off into a big mud hole or start hill climbing on your own and end up being stuck and everyone has to wait for you to be pulled out etc.If we have time once we get our ride in and we are heading back to camp we can make time for playing if time allows it.I would like to see us get in a minimum of 50 miles each day so to do that it takes everyone's help by doing what I just talked about.I hope no one has a problem with this plan but I think it's fair and it will ensure that everyone gets in some good riding.If anyone has any ideas that would be better or any suggestions let's here them.


Each day everyone must be lined up at the Stop sign leaving the campground and ready to roll at 10:00am on Friday and 9:00am on Sat & Sunday and if you have been to these rides before you know we roll on time so I would suggest being lined early in case anyone has some questions and we can space the SXS with radios evenly through the pack.The plan will be to be back at camp as close to 5:00pm as possible so everyone can get their machines ready for the next days ride and clean up and eat and then socialize around the community campfire at site OF 1 .If you don't have a rear view mirror I would get one as you must never leave the person behind you at any intersection or fork on the trail.

Ok Thanks Bubba I'm going to replace you for Geterdun on Saturday also since I think my oldest son will be riding with him.

Ashland said they still had 4 tent sites left when I talked to them Thursday

Will be staying with Neurmax Site 30 , will have a Radio , riding my " Pictures comming soon "

Ok with Punder now on the list that is a total of 79 SXS so if everyone shows up we are going to have one long train Don't worry about this being a problem because as long as everyone will make double sure that the rider behind them knows when we make a turn it won't matter if we have 1000 SXS it will go smooth.The key to it all is waiting at every turn for the person behind you I think a grade school kid can do this.We just all need to pay attention.I'm going to be repeating this same message until it sinks in...lol So don't get offended if I keep harping on this subject because I won't everyone to do the right thing and watch out for the person behind them

Hopefully we will get plenty of rain before the ride and we won't have a dust issue but when it gets close enough to get a good picture if it's going to be dry or wet then if it's going to be dry we will go with plan B that Slopoke suggested to me in a PM.If it's going to be dusty then we will want to spread out some which will be even more important to make sure the person behind you sees where to turn and to solve this problem we will want everyone to give a thumbs up to the person in front of you at a turn so they know you see which way to go before you proceed.What each person will have to do is look in their mirror or turn thier head and look for the thumbs up sign before they proceed forward.

since i carry alot of tools and live around here i will be on the recovery team all 3 days that way nobody will get lost either trying to get back or get to where they can get thier machine!!!
