| Ok James , can you build it ? Here is the basic shape ....... In the RZR , picture taken pointed up from the seat area .... Side view , The 2 way radio is pushing down in the center so it looks bowed Side view , I just could not get far enough away to get it all in view ..... As it sits James it is 3" thick , but can go to a min of 2 1/2 " thick , depending on how your roof fits over the cross bar on the back of cage to the roof . I am making this off of the plastic Polaris roof ...... I am also looking for some good suggestion on how to get the speaker wires from the front speakers that I posted to this area , I have just not found a good route . | |

| When I built my overhead console I used air brake tubing to run my wires thru and than ran them up along the A post of the roll cage. Not the cleanest but I didnt want to drill a hole in the roll cage and snake them thru. | |

That's me , I do not want holes in the roll bars , I had several people tell me it ok as long as the hole is round or filled . I thought about between the dash and the floor plan and along the frame and back , or as you said just take it along the roll bar . | |

| Hey Drew, Great minds think alike. I am going to do basically the same thing you are doing, in fact I was telling Darrel about it last night. I am going to build a form much like you have out of ridgid foam then carbon fiber it. . | |

| The problem I ran into was the bow in the roll bar making a odd corner right were you get in , it being made of metal made me rethink it some . I still have the template if anyone would like to build it out of metal . Rick I had thoughts of making a paper mache ( like you used to make in school ) template so that I could make that corner better ( you will see what I am talking about when it comes to that odd corner . It is almost perfect from the rear cross bar to the center bar were the front and rear sections come together , its just the ourside bars that are odd . Good luck Rick and do post some pictures , I would like to see the process . | |

| I go back to work for two weeks on Wednesday..when I get off I am going to try to come up with a better radio set up. Right now I have a marine box from cabalas mounted down understand the dash and two speakers up on the front ad back bars over head but I ain't real happy with it..it serves its purpose but you can tell it is pretty rigged...I would just lime to have a nicer set-up without spending a fortune on all these set ups you see at your local dealer and advertised online...surely someone on here has a simple effective home made setup(with pics hopefully) | |
