| Kingston 16GB or 32GB Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) memory card is what GoPro recommends with 32GB being the max. I have the 16GB and havent came close to needing that much but I do record on the standard(lowest setting) def because those HD vids are just too big.
Also, the battery doesnt last long....you might want to get another one. Amazon is a good place to buy from.
We are still loving the one we have!! Cant wait to try it in the water!

| do you run it with the waterproof window on or regular window on the back? It says to run regular for what we do but I think its best to keep it locked up. |

| Waterproof window....it should keep the dust out. I think that is worst on a camera than anything.
Be sure to read instructions, it can be confusing with the display that is has. Might want to just keep a copy in your ride.

| I use 16gb cards.. but to be honest, you could probably get by with 8gb cards.. the battery dies before I get past 8gb anyway..
Did you pick up the LCD back? It really makes it MUCH more user friendly... get it if you can..
I use the r3 setting from the manual.. gets me 720p which is just fine.
I am using the roll bar mount, and it works great!
Spend some time getting to know how to use it, or you will miss some shots your first time out.. again, the lcd back makes it easy to see its recording, and what its pointed at.. witbout it, its hard.
does that help? | |

| If it has two sound settings you will want to use the low setting or you end up with alot of bad back ground noise I have the older one tho hopefully they improve that issue on the new ones . | |

Steve, where did you find the GoPro 960 for that price? I came across a great deal and had a 20% coupon to boot. Deal is dead now. But I am seeing them shipped for $150. I think the 960 is the way to go. http://www.buy.com/prod/gopro-hd-hero-960/q/sellerid/10001650/loc/111/217548554.html

| I've got the 960 and love it. I bought a couple of roll bar mount kits, one for each veicle. After trying it mounted on the rear cross bar I found I liked it better mounted on the dash using the standard mount. The roll bar mount is big and bulky and I was not able to mount it to the front roll bar because the knobs hit the roof. I might try making up something so I can mount to the roll bar right in front of the rear view mirror. The buttons are definetly tricky to work and keep it on the right settings like everyone said read the manual closely. Good to hear the video screen works well because I need to order one. I used the open cover so I could hear the engine. In this picture you can see it mounted on the dash. I like how it looked in playback. Check out the CAW video to see the dash perspective. ![Go Pro video cam - Page 2 100_0810](https://i.servimg.com/u/f23/16/43/21/60/100_0810.jpg) |

| Doh, the 1080 model, thought you were talking about the 960. Wasking thinking I had the 960 but it's the 1080 model also. Figured out not to use the 1080 mode after a short ten min video ate up several gigbytes on the sd card lol. Got mine free from a co-worker who bought it for his motorcycle and never used it ![Go Pro video cam - Page 2 795991](https://2img.net/u/1913/21/04/90/smiles/795991.jpg) |
