| Has anybody added a fuel gauge kit to a 660 Rhino? Would a kit from AutoZone or Advance Auto work or where should I purchase it from? | |

| Yes people have added them to the Rhino & RZR and yes the ones from either place will work as that is where others have bought them also from what I have seen. I see now you are just asking about the Fuel Gauge only so I don't know about that I was thinking water temp, oil pressure etc | |

| Damn, thats a good question.....never heard of anyone trying it,but it seems that COULD be a little difficult depending on how a rhino fuel tank is made and what kind of sending unit comes with the gauge. Ever thought about experimenting with a fuel gauge that is built into a gas cap with a float. I know they aren't real accurate unless your level and not moving but it sounds quite a bit easier. Seems you would have to cut a whole in tank to make any other actual fuel gauge work, but i may be wrong, never seen a rhino fuel tank. Maybe WVHOTRODRHINO has an idea about that. Sorry couldn't answer question. | |

| http://utilityoffroad.com/tech/rhino/fuelgauge/index.html Well i searched some and found this much out about the fuel gauge for a Rhino. As i figured, you bout have to cut a hole in the tank but thats not too big of deal. Shouldn't be that bad of a job really. I'm pretty darn sure that an aftermarket automotive one would work as well based on the way this one is set up. There really isn't a whole lot of difference in this one and some others i've been looking at made for cars. Guess the biggest difference would be that you would have to make sure that you run a ground from the sending unit to your frame somewhere. On vehicles with METAL tanks, it is grounded on the tank itself. | |

| http://redirectingat.com/?id=1629X694340&xs=1&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.oreillyauto.com%2Fsite%2Fc%2Fdetail%2FEQU0%2F8362.oap%3Fpt%3DN0529%26ppt%3DC0134&sref=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.rhinoforums.net%2Fgeneral-rhino-discussion%2F38669-fuel-gauge-2.htmlO.K. so here is one from O'Reilly auto parts that seems to have worked from what i have read so far and they do talk about running a wire to frame from sending unit because the sending unit was designed for metal tanks. That being said, i don't really see why any one you by at any parts store wouldn't work. There is mention of this particular gauge requiring you to adjust your tank float a little to make it accurate. Hell, according to my stock fuel gauge, i probably get 1/2 mile per gallon anyways. | |
