| well I will make this ride if I get my truck back in time ! 6.0 with 164000 miles having the egr cooler changed and the oil cooler changed now ! gonna try the bullet proof egr cooler and stock oil cooler ! if you have a 6.0 powerstroke you better change the anti freeze often and flush the system ! other than changing the hpop and injectors and egr cooler and oil cooler i have not had any problem ! lol | |

| I changed my coolant at 50,000. Its about time to do it again. When my egr cooler goes I am going to delete it and pull it out. Iam ready to get the fuel mileage better and all that heat off of the motor. For now I run full synthetic Rotella and change it every 5000 miles. I am hoping that helps. |

| 18 to 19 with no trailer , and 10 to 11 with the 28 foot trailer loaded ! T-bone if you do the delete they say you will not pass the emissions test for state inspections I looked at doing that also . I also use the rottela and change it every 5000 to 6000 miles . but I did not know about the coolant needing to be changed and that is what starts the problem from what I understand . | |

| Here in nc diesels don't get sniffed. My cat is gone and that is essentially illegal. Nobody ever checks for it and in nc over 8000 pounds is safety only inspection.
Believe me the egr is coming out. |

| Im 4wd and dont know what gear . I will find out when it gets out of the shop but I think it like a 3.73 , I want to do a chip but I am waiting till the head gaskets go and i do arp studs , but just the studs are 600 bucks ! as far as mpg I used to get almost 12 loaded but I put new tires on and lost about 1 mpg . the excurrison I use to have had the v-10 with 4.56 gears it got about 8 or 9 with an open trailer but would pull anything but would not pass a gas station ! | |

| The Ultra low sulfer deisel really screwed with my mileage. I have a 03 dodge 3500, before the fuel change I would get 22mpg on the highway empty and 17 pulling my 24' enclosed loaded down with 2 sxs's. Now I get around 16-17 empty and 12 pulling the same load. My truck has 3.73 gears and all I have performance wise is an Edge controller. | |

That is great Sometimes if i'm wanting to go fast...and I'm taking off on the floor....then it might get only 15-16.... But that's still good for a truck pushing 700 HP..... | |

| I wanna buy used one of those diesels that get 20mpg on the highway. That would be great even with the high diesel prices. My Hemi averages 13mpg at best and only gets 6.5mpg towing my Toyhauler. 20mpg would be the bomb! | |
