| The FIRST thing to address is the airbox dust issue. I have a DFR that has been doing great. I just snorkeled it with a UNI pre filter. Clean Air is the key. All the stuff on your list can be bought from the supporting vendors on this site at great discounts. Let the begin....... | |

| imo the filter problem has been fixed. add an outerwear to the stock filter and grease the lip to help seal it and you should be good to go. on the reg rzr a lift is a must or the shocks the JBS sells because the stock springs suck. skids are a must for me along with a front bumper. when you lift it a set of wheel spacers or offset wheels help a lot. next roof JBS has a nice one. doors are nice but for looks mostly but they do keep lots of mud off of you. for lights HIDs is the only way to go. |

| A arm guards are a waste of money if you ask me all they do is catch all and rocks can get in them and tear up cv boots and cv joint. They actualy should be called catch alls instead of a arm guards lol... I would deffintly snorkle with filter in cab and get the belt up out of the way when washing under it a straight shot into the intake for belt.Shocks are a good mod also get a little more ride hight...JBS has a GREAT shock package roofs and much much more JBS/aka WVhotrodrhino | |

| Come see me in Kenna. I've done a lot. Here's what I'd do with a standard RZR to start. . . . 1. Seal bed-to-intake interface and add K&N filter . 2. Rear view mirror 3. Rock Sliders 4. Storage upgrades 5. Roof Then . . . . 1. 26" Bighorns (plus spacers to mount them with stock wheels). 2. 'S' Flares 3. SuperATV springs(150#F/225#R) w/ JBS shocks 4. HID light upgrade 5. Winch This will get you on any trail to have lots of fun. After that you might consider . . . . 1. Windshield 2. Four/five pt. seat belts 3. Bumpers, if you don't have them 4. Audio equiptment Then . . . . 1. Clutch Kit 2. Exhaust upgrade 3. Fuel Mgt Oh well, the list could go on forever. Ask WVHRR | |

| First change your filter + short 3inch diameter inside cab snorkel thus having 2 filters. Polaris has excellent exhaust flow, will gain almost no hp with after market + have to constantly repack aftermarket muffler several times a year if u ride alot + they are obnoxious ( I have 2 bros that is now in the trash can). Skid plates, yes, depends on what u want. Mine came from EMP, they are hard plastic and I feel they were well worth it, prices I'm sure have changed u will have to shop. You can find hids that fit in stock light housing for around 40$ shipped, yea pretty cheap check eBay. Now extra lights u r better off with led, they come in many different sizes plus use little power, that's important. The rest is personnel touch but u can get alot of feedback from these people on this wv sxs forum. Have fun building yours, I'm almost done, the engine is being done on mine as we speak! | |

| Mod #1 would have to be a winch. If you get a sxs stuck, it is stuck. After that I would look at a the shocks from JBS and a tire/wheel upgrade. These are the most important things to get you down the trails. | |

| hey finzup i have not reached the appropriate number of posts to pm you, so anyway where do you live in kenna? and would you be willing to meet up to let me check out your rzr? pm me please. i live in sherman 5 min on the rt 68 side of ravenswood. thanks for the informaiton guys. i am gonna research the clutch mods and springs. this information may help and probably gonna hurt me in the long run. my brother and i are both 6-3 he is 250 lbs and i am about 315 so i know that the springs are certaily gonna be an issue after hearing what you guys have to say on here. how much will our weight affect the clutching? and the guy on here that said something about engine braking on a rzr, is that possible? i thought rzr did not have engine braking? thanks guys | |

| I guess I didn't link my info very well but the reason my engine is being rebuilt(over 2000.00 dollars) is because of poor air filter set up. Bobby D has had his rings replaced twice in the last year without Polaris saying he needed to address air problem. He did his rings last WEEK! I know u want to ride but protect that engine it's expensive. Contact WV Hot Rod Rhino he'll help u with the air, shocks, etc.. | |

| I would concentrate on protection and storage. Skid plates are a must!!! I busted two of the stock plastic skid plates in 3 rides. I have the EMP skid plates now and they are great. I would get new shocks because they not only improve your ride but they will protect the RZR alot. I can't begin to tell you the beating my RZR took just from bottoming out, all because the shock/springs on the RZR suck. I wouldn't waste my money on the A-arm guards. Also performance mods would be the last thing I would worry about. There are so many things to buy it's hard to tell you what you should get first. | |

where all do you ride in nicholas county? i know in pocahontas co there was not much to ride on. The best places to ride close by are Bergoo near Webster Springs, and down at Mt. Hope with WVHOTRODRHINO. There used to be some good riding near Craigsville, but strip mining has overtaken it for now. Unless you just ride it anyway, but it's not as good as it used to be. | |

| A winch is a must, you can't just "armstrong" a RZR out of the mud like a quad. The EMP skids are great as well. I have been running the same set for 2 years now with no problems. Performance wise, a clutch kit is the best mod for the money followed by an aftermarket ECU or remapped stocker.
Good luck! | |
