| With the suspension upgrades to be completed shorlty it will be time for some more HP. The goal is ~80 to the tires. I am use to building engines a bit larger so this will be my first experience with modifing a Polaris engine so all help is apperciated.
I really do not want to go into the bottom end at this time so the rpms will be limited to 6500. I need first hand experiences with modifications and parts, IE: EFI/CDI programmers, cams, head porting, throttle bodies, injectors, exhaust systems, big bore kits, etc. The jury is still out as to wheather I do a turbo kit, if so I will be doing a custom build myself. This will most likely be the route as I have a lot of experience with forced induction systems and they are hard to beat.
If you have parts and peices you want to get rid of please let me know. I would really like to find a complete engine that has had problems but still rebuildable. At least I will be looking for a cylinder & head.
Please post your experiences and thoughts. |

| Not sure about the block its self but the Sportman 800 is the same 800 motor , just not sure if the sportman motor will fit in the RZR meaning the motor mounts in same place ETC . I know James did a motor for Super Dave on this site and it would burn the tire on blacktop , don't belive they did the bottom end , but there was lots on the top , portiing, throttle body , I think head , but they stayed stock compression to be able to run standard fuel , S exhaust , I know there is a lot more so Super Dave might be another one to talk too . | |
