what tires do you guys like and experiences you have with them

I have 26" STI Mud tires...the backs are half wore out at 2600 miles and the fronts(which are a diff tread) still look brand new...

I have nearly 3000 miles on my set of bighorns.......My Rhino has 7300 on it.



They do great everywhere I ride..rocks, climbs, And the side bite on them, when your trying to straddle a rut.



For the mud part......Just go around the hole!!



I have tried Mud Lites, XTR's, and GBC Dirt Tamer's.....None came close.

I like the ITP terracross.

I just got a set of Kenda's new Bounty Hunter SBS HTR 8-ply Radials. I'll be doing a review on them once I rack up some miles and see how they perform.

I have GBC Dirt Tamers , have 1000 miles on them and they look like new tires , really good in the mud also, love em!!! They look just like a Big Horn ,

I'm running 27x14 maxxis zillas they seem to be wearing really well good bite in the mud have no complaints yet

It's been a while, and still a very expensive mod to make. After putting 2400 miles on my Bighorns, I'm more confused than ever. Once they are near 1/2 tread, I don't like them.

I've seen alot more tires in this group than what's been talked about here.

I'm starting to think I want two sets of tires and wheels for one machine.

I'm considering Rip Saws, Swamplites, GBC dirt tamers, Grim reapers, or Reptiles for my next tire. Even though they are bias ply, I think the Swamplite would be the tire for me if they didn't wear to quick.

Handyman, how did those Bounty Hunters hold up?

Anyone know of a good 28" or 29" 8 ply tire? Everything 8 ply seems to stop at 27".

mrwvsportsman have a set on my rzr and can am they are 27". I love them. Never had a flat with them yet, been riding everywhere from wv to tennessee

Don't know what I will get next. Love my Rockers but man they are expensive!! I will probably end up just getting a second set of Rockers for the rear since they're wearing so much faster than the front. That XP power is fun but hard on rear tires.

I really like the looks of ITP Blackwater Evolution! That may be my next full set of tires, unless the price goes up on them.

I was seriously looking at them too! They look nice. Just not quite tall enough. I'd like atleast a 28" tire. I was actually going to buy them until I was offered a heck of a deal on the 12 ply Moapas on DWT Diablo beadlocks. Couldn't hardly pass it up. But the 26" just aren't cutting it. And at 200-300 miles, they are showing alot more wear than I expected.

I have the rip saws on my rhino, just under 1000 miles on them, they wear good, staring to show some wear, they do great off road no complaints, side walls are tough...but they have a little out of round feeling on hard road, you cant feel it in dirt.....I would defiantly buy another set.......

Just put new 27" Dirt Commanders on the Rhino... I think I'm gonna like them a lot... Love ITP Mudlites and tread wears great, but close inspection at 750 miles shows a lot of nasty bruises in between tread showing through to inside.

Like the Pro Comps on my RZRS a lot so far!

Running Rip-Saws also, they slip a little on hard pack, but regrip and away you go... don't try to power slide with them, you will spear the inside of the turn.... wear seems good so far, and have only been stuck 2x with them... but tires need to be touching for any grip.. I agree that the are rough on hard top, gotta take it easy

By taking it easy, do you mean speed on hardtop in general, or slow down in the curves? Do they have a little wobble to them, or feel like your machine is coming apart?

Sounds like a great tire other than the out of round thing.

I have XP first 30 minutes of riding new big horns 27" got front flat, 6 ply not made for XP as I was informed, will only run 8 or 10 ply riding forward. Pit Bulls very good tire for big bore sxs as that is what I ran on Commander 1000 LE.

Waiting for my front tires (3 which include spare tire) ITP 27x9x12 & 27x11x12 Evolution with side armor, rear tires arrived last week, once I get on the trails will give feedback if anyone is interested.

Hump, the Swamplites wear very quick! I have had good luck with my 27in XTRs, and am now running a set of 28in Radial Laws and they are okie dokie for me. I never use my 27in Big Horns any more.

Thanks for the info. I better stay away from the Swamplites then. I'm on the pavement some.
