| What is your budget for one? Olympus makes a great waterproof/shockproof camera for around $200 to $400 range. It is called the Stylus Tough series. It is great for taking video (with sound) and pictures underwater of the kids also. The shockproof has been tested with mine, it took a 5ft fall onto hardwood floor and still works! Lot of the guys here use this camera.
If you are looking for more advanced features, this one might not be the one for you but it is a great point and shoot camera. | |

| Sandi, mine is the Olympus 1030SW and you know I love it. The cannons really take better pics but they don't hold up like these do. Waterproof, dustproof, drop proof (my daughter dropped it down the stairs this week and it still works great) | |

| Olympus makes a great camera no doubt. I have an old one that I still use that take great pics. It's only 4 mega pixel and still takes great pictures. I can also vouch for the sony DSC-W70 we have 2 of those at work on our trucks and they work great and take great pictures with video/sound. | |
